Is there a single player performs better than how he would play for another team?
PG-WB can play better with other coaches. Melo is coming from another dysfunctioning team(triangle).
Even Adams plays bad. Almost every player performs lower than how they would play under other coaches.
Its a good metric to see coachs contribution.
He makes every player worse.

“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Hey FNQ, how does Mark Jackson as Thunder coach sound?
FNQ wrote:Jackson was a good coach for the team we had... he instilled confidence in players. That's important. But it's really all he did. If he were a player, he's the equivalent of a one-note specialist. Like the Reggie Evans of coaching.
That said, he sucks as a strategic coach, sucks as an employee, and sucks as an overall human being.

As a Warrior fan, it sounds fantastic!
Here's a reference point for you guys though. I had the extreme displeasure of meeting Mr. Jackson and having to deal with some of his acolytes personally, and I think no one hit it on the head better than Andrew Bogut.

Some of Jackson's best quotes were in there, like how the Warriors were a butterfly but he was the caterpillar, how playoff prepartion is overrated, how rim protection is overrated (was a thinly veiled shot at Andrew Bogut, as 5 minutes later he said DeAndre Jordan was an impact player)... just as petty and terrible as can be. There's a reason he hasn't been a serious candidate for anyone since the Warriors
My thoughts then, and to this day:FNQ wrote:Jackson was a good coach for the team we had... he instilled confidence in players. That's important. But it's really all he did. If he were a player, he's the equivalent of a one-note specialist. Like the Reggie Evans of coaching.

We are on a wavelength, man. Exact same guy I suggested if they were to move on.

As someone who doesn’t follow the d-league, what makes stackhouse a good candidate?

Understand the frustration of a bad coach, but this guy alienated one of our better players (Bogut), refused to prepare for playoff games, told the team that an injured player (Ezeli) was rooting against them - falsely, of course, banned one of the nicest guys - a face for the Warriors for many years - in Jim Barnett from having contact with the team..
He's someone that could really, really destroy team chemistry, and not just on court.
In terms of how he coaches on-court, he ran out hockey-style lineups. There was a 1st unit, there was a 2nd unit, and the two rarely mixed unless there was foul trouble. Kept Draymond on the bench in favor of David Lee. Sat Bogut for inexplicably long stretches to play Jermaine O'Neal, someone who was as vocal about religion as he was.. Donovan hasn't been great, but you guys can do so much better.
