Why I am the bad guy when I would have prevented this.
Because you are emotionally placing blame where it does not belong.

Dont know the severity of it yet (Stage 1/2/3), but it has to be pretty bad when he could not move at all. Thats not a good sign.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worse.
I've had groin strains in my time but never to the point where I couldn't move. Even mild strains take a couple weeks of rest to heal properly. I think we should expect to be without him for some time. As you said, these kinds of injury tend to get aggravated easily so it's best for him to take his time from a recovery standpoint.
Yup. They heal slow and get aggravated easily. This will be a year long issue guaranteed. Strains and pull
s are the worse.

Is this an injury that players typically fully recover from though? Less concerned about Booker missing time this year than I am about him having to play with lingering injuries moving forward.

If he sticks to a recovery plan, he'll come back with no issue. With our medical staff, I'm quietly confident

The Suns have no incentive to rush him. If anything, I can image ownership quietly tank for one last season under the ruse of 'being careful with our star player'. A little bit like I'm sure the 76ers have done with Simmons. Without Booker, we're easily a bottom 3 team in the NBA.
Hope Booker doesn't try to rush back. Competitive guys like him aren't always patient enough to stick to their own recovery plans.
