Ramon Sessions and 2018 Bulls 2nd?
Your 1st rd pick is a good starting point.

This is beyond terrible. Dinwiddie is putting up starter numbers and is on the best contract in the NBA by far.
No chance we trade him for a worthless player and a 2nd.

Are we not counting rookie contracts for some reason? Especially those early on that you can keep for 8 years or so?
Simmons
Tatum
Kuzma
D.Mitchell
Etc...
We have Dinwiddie one more year before he is unrestricted.

DMC and some stuff for Davis?
No to Klay if it costs LeVert or RHJ?
Our pick will be outside the top 10 since other teams are tanking and we're not? (How many years have we said this now?)
Maybe we should stick to realistic moves like Joe Harris for a couple 2nds or cutting Acy to sign a d.league player.

LMAO, no, you read that terribly wrong.
I had suggested DMC - who's playing very good basketball right now
+
RHJ - who has vastly improved and a few posters here think he'll turn out to be a future All Star... which I'm not sure about, but he's definitely solidified his place as a regular NBA starter
+
Joe Harris - we're not going to keep anyway but the kid will be desired by many teams
+
2018 Raptors 1st rounder that we own
+
2018 2nd rounder
To me that's a hefty package. I think it's far more than some stuff. For AD probably not enough anyway, and someone else suggested another team could probably make a way better offer anyway.
The more I think about it, it's not the Marks way to make a move like that. You're right that it'll prob be Harris for a future pick.

Keep an eye on Joe Harris and Dinwiddie being moved since they are both at peak values. Mozgov buyout also might happen soon.

The only way Dinwiddie is leaving is if a team takes Mozgov's contract and adds a 1st.
Joe Harris is going for a 1st guaranteed.

That Dinwiddie trade would never happen.
I only see us getting a 1st for Harris if we take on salary from a win now team.
My ideal trade would be Carroll and Harris for Asik, a 1st and a 2nd.
I have no idea what we could get for Dinwiddie, but I don’t think he’s enough to offset Mozgov by himself.

Harris is extremely wanted by GMs in the playoff race.
A team like Houston via Daryl Morey's mindset of the Rockets being good from 3 but could improve from the SG/SF offensive output, OKC who's 21st in 3 pt %, Utah who has a good relationship w/ Brooklyn, Minnesota who's 19th in 3 pt %.
I don't see us taking an Asik.
Netaman wrote:They are not trading Dinwiddie for anything short of Anthony Davis/Klay Thompson or a very good unprotected lotto pick. Just not happening. I don't even know if they'd trade him to the Cavs for our own pick back right now.
They are also not buying out Mozgov anytime soon. They have no use for immediate cap space and there is ZERO reason to extend the number of years he's on the books.
Harris is the only roster who may get dealt, with a small chance they deal Carroll though I doubt it. If someone offered a first rounder for him without any long-term salary attached they would probably have to do it, but I doubt anyone offers such a deal.
Joe Harris is going to get dealt for either a good 2nd round pick or a young player on their first contract. That's about it.

Rockets cant offer a 1st for him most of theirs are traded and they have much bigger targets than Joe Harris.
Utah isn’t making the playoffs and also traded their 1st rounder. They’re not gonna give one for Harris with Mitchell and Hood on the roster.
Minny would probably send us the OKC 1st if we took back Cole Aldrich. Harris isn’t worth a mid 1st by himself.
No team is going to give up a 1st for an unproven bench player on an expiring deal. That’s why it would have to involve taking on salary.
I think Asik is a golden opportunity to get 2 1sts for the same amount of cap space. NO needs shooters on the wings and that’s something we have an abundance of. Plus Asiks last year is only 3 mill guaranteed and he could be bought out or stretched in the summer.
