You typically don't even know how good a player is going to be until their 3rd year or so, it makes even less sense to judge a trade until everyone knows who has what, and we don't even know what the Celtics will get out of the pick we traded. We will likely keep the Lakers pick in 2018, and they'll likely get the pick in 2019. Knowing Ainge and his disastrous drafting track record, he'll draft another bust and that extra pick will amount to nothing.

Last 4 drafts- Tatum, Brown, Rozier at 16, Smart. Not bad at all

None of them are any good at all. It's just typical Boston propaganda everything about them is overhyped.

Must be the worst shoulder injury in the history of organized sports. Lol

How much you want to bet he's out for the whole year.

That is good news, we at the very least will get to see him play this year. I would have been more pissed if they sat him out the rest of the season.

Sounds like they are fixing his shot if he’s been with a personal player development coach. I suppose they will play him only if the shot is fixed. Perhaps we will see him at practice now?

Progress from drills to 5 on 5 can happen in a matter of days to about a week or two...

If we get him back by Mid January I'd be happy. Id say that's the limit of my patience though.

Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf is apparently that coach according to a previous poster.

Any idea his track record as a coach

Practice is the key. Has to be made available to the media then. I can't wait to hear what Fultz has to say (and not say) to the media, once he's made available.

*** Of course they've been fixing his shot. That was the whole point of this charade.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Re-reading his tweet it sounds like his shot is fixed or has made it to a point that they don't need him to solely focus on it.

after 3 more pain-free weeks he is "expected to increase his workload" and take part in some team-drills (in some aka like no shooting-drills? )

i just cant get why anyone still has patience with this. it was ridiculous a month ago

I will say, another delightfully cryptic leak from this situation. Does team drills mean a layup line? Will the official announcement be that he’s playing 5v5 in a few weeks (like I, sadly, joked earlier)? Will we ever get any clear answers or will he just show up one night not on the injury report?

We’re all fine with this timeline. Obviously if you’ve been reading this thread, EVERYONE is patiently waiting his return and it’s only you who wants him to hurry back.

I'm unbelievably frustrated, but I'm also understanding of the fact that even if he did have an actual injury his confidence is shot. That doesn't mean he's a mental midget. He's a dude that played great just a few months before the incident, and as a rookie the NBA is already daunting.

Could you imagine what would happen to him as a player if he came back with that same wonky shot. Everyone would label him a bust and the sixers would be out a number 1 pick. We aren't doing great now, so that's equally annoying, but him coming back as close to the player he once was is totally in Fultz's best interest.

If the Sixers thought he was ready to go he'd be out there. Have we not learned anything about rushing players back?

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
