he does not lead by example on the court. off the court? he's terrific. a model citizen. on the court, he's reckless and disparages teammates without appearing to be open to criticism himself. he doesn't know how to motivate them and his teammates often appear alienated by him when sharing the floor. steven adams is perhaps the lone exception here.
he loses his cool too easily. opponents get under his skin and manipulate him. they even admit to doing it, and it doesn't change his behavior. does this happen to lebron james? stephen curry? kevin durant? not really. they are rocks by comparison on the court, and it makes them superior leaders.
