sure. players have bad series. even great ones like kevin durant and russell westbrook. i'm not invaliding westbrook's ability to play like a star in the postseason, i'm questioning the reasoning behind suggesting kevin durant's performance against golden state (at least, on offense) was indicative of anything besides going up against a great team that gave him some trouble. as the spurs did to westbrook, etc. i do not think it's meaningful. you haven't expressed this particular point in this thread but i know that's a common criticism of kevin durant's "leadership".

kevin durant did this for years-- and the amusing part about it is that it was largely westbrook who benefited from it. you're basically retconning kevin durant's entire career due to his decision to go to the warriors which is not fair.
