We can work with those 4 and filler. We really need to draft or develop a rim protector. Hoping can keep Sato, will be tough.
Go look at that supermax money when it kicks in, if John gets hurt or regresses much, it's big trouble. But I think had to do it.
I think keeping Sato won’t be an issue.
The Super max for John is gonna be an issue as he will basically be taking up the space Gortat and Mahinmi have but hopefully the cap can get up to $110M to give us enough luxury tax room
I get the numbers....but it feels like the salary cap isnt a issue for teams that have multiple stars so why is the super max for john any different (real honest question) and it isnt a issue for GSW, OKC, Cleveland, Boston etc? Honest answer...no snarky-ness or arrogance loaded in this question at all.
Ill add to my question/s. Does a super max deal count against the salary cap dollar for dollar like a normal contract? E.g. if a player signed a contract for max $100 over 10 years that would be 10 a year...but if he signed a supermax that was $200 over 10 years would it still count as 20 against the cap per year or does the team get any cap relief because they signed a player to a supermax? IF not...wow john could be 35% of the total salary cap..and if beal were to make an all nba team we would be DEAD....
