I've been saying this for a while, theoretical Middleton is the perfect player along side Giannis, actual Khris Middleton however is not, but people keep talking like he is. I'm not saying he isn't a good player, he sure can be, but he is a big reason we are a train wreck this year.
Running Middleton out there with four bench scrubs and having Middleton chuck has not been a good strategy.
So for comparison sake, I looked at the top line ups in MP (pre all start break) last year without Giannis (net rating)
55 mp Beasley, Brogdon, Monroe, Parker, Terry +15
51 mp Beasley, Brogdon, Monroe, Parker, Snell -4
49 mp Brogdon, Monroe, Parker, Tele, Terry +19
35 mp Beasley, Delly, Monroe, Parker, Snell +5
This year
34 mp Bledsoe, Brogdon, Henson, MIdd, Snell -34
32 mp Bledsoe, Brogdon, Liggins, Midd, Maker -19
24 mp Brown, Delly, Maker, Middleton, Snell -20
23 mp Brogdon, Liggins, Maker, Midd, Terry -6
And bonus line up
20 mp Bledsoe, Brown, Henson, Middleton, Snell -40
I really want to blame Maker for the all the problems, but it seems that Bledsoe and Middleton without Giannis, they are having a tough time making that line up work, in any fashion.
