Yu Darvish is just waiting for the LA Dodgers to offer up what other teams like Minnesota is offering. If I was Minnesota I would pull my offer since this has been going on for weeks but media outlets continue to report that Minny has offered him a contract. It's getting old.
He has some great options for his future:
The Cubs, Brewers, Dodgers, and Yankees
But, Sunny LA seems to be his first choice.
According to Darren Wilson of ESPN 1500 in Minneapolis, the Twins have submitted a formal offer to free agent starter Yu Darvish.
The exact specifics of the offer are unknown, but Wolfson says on the latest episode of his podcast that it is believed to be four or five years in length. He also mentions that the Twins are reluctant at this point to push that offer to six years. Earlier on Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported that Darvish has "several" offers on the table worth more than $100 million, and USA Today's Bob Nightengale mentioned that a number of them are in the five-year range. We could finally be seeing some progress with the top starting pitcher on the market, and Minnesota might have a real shot here. The Cubs, Brewers, Dodgers, and Yankees are also thought to be in pursuit of the 31-year-old right-hander.
