I disagree. As the article pointed out one of the things Dwight wants is more offensive touches. It would be great for him to get
as many of those as possible with the bench unit rather than the starters. Conversely Cody plays well with the starters so staggering their minutes so that Dwight starts, but plays some with the bench - and Cody comes off the bench, but plays some with the starters might give you the best of both worlds.

Personally I would be starting Lamb too, but I'm open to other options that get him more time with Kemba, such as minutes staggering that you mention. I tend to think that closing games with Lamb is more important than starting him at this point.
Who brings the ball up court in your 5 man bench - especially against aggressive defensive teams? I'm not sure that any of those guys could do it well.
