Over / Under on next coach being Stackhouse?

Hopefully under. Looking at the list only Tony Bennett really piqued my interest.

However I’d give Stackhouse a shot before I’d want to watch another year of the known in Clifford.

Make a **** trade!

it is astonishing to me how year in and year out we are not only mediocre but also seemingly devoid of tradeable assets. The Cavs want George Hill so the Cavs are going to get George Hill, basically for trash? Why can't we get George Hill with our trash???

I was just thinking the same thing. Every year we watch a team like the Cavs get valuable players from other teams for nothing while we just twiddle our thumbs.

I’m 100% sure we could offer more than a washed up combination of Shumpert and Frye for George Hill. Not only that but the Kings are going to send Cleveland a 2nd round pick to boot.

Cho usually does good in "junk for junk" trades. Don't manage to get good stuff for junk, unless you count Dwight.

We are not a real option for most teams. What we have to offer is bargain basement. Except for Kemba.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Dwight is practically junk but he’s salvageable if he can buy into a system. Basically the basketball player version of the idiom “one man’s (Budenholzer) trash is another man’s (Clifford) treasure”.

perfect argument for why cliff deserves blame for this mess, as well as cho.

Dwight with the bench won't be necessary once Cody is healthy, but the Batum/Cody PnR, which actually worked quite well when they used to start together, would probably give the bench unit an actual functional dynamic outside of just letting Lamb iso against an onslaught of defenders.

MCW doesn't need to be playing regardless. Shortening the rotation or trying to make Monk work as a low usage C&S option would both be preferable to him single handedly sabotaging our offense.

If I were wanting us to win I would start Lamb over Batum and stagger his minutes to play with the bench, so our backup unit would basically be Lamb/Graham/Batum/Frank/Cody.

That was well written. And yeah I'm ready for Cliff to be gone. He's done some good things while here, and has some strengths, but it's time - and this article is a good illustration about one of the things he is doing to cost this team wins.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I disagree. As the article pointed out one of the things Dwight wants is more offensive touches. It would be great for him to get
as many of those as possible with the bench unit rather than the starters. Conversely Cody plays well with the starters so staggering their minutes so that Dwight starts, but plays some with the bench - and Cody comes off the bench, but plays some with the starters might give you the best of both worlds.

Personally I would be starting Lamb too, but I'm open to other options that get him more time with Kemba, such as minutes staggering that you mention. I tend to think that closing games with Lamb is more important than starting him at this point.

Who brings the ball up court in your 5 man bench - especially against aggressive defensive teams? I'm not sure that any of those guys could do it well.

Good point on the first part, but I would also want Cody to get minutes with Batum on the bench and I don't like Nic/Dwight together, so I wouldn't stagger Dwight too hard, but i can totally see giving him some bench minutes and Cody some with the starters.

Lamb would be bringing it up. I honestly trust him more than MCW in about any situation.

Blow it up as fast as you can and get picks, even if that means just getting 2nd rounders lol....We are in the lottery anyway!!

Get someone from Houston's front office that can put together an entertaining squad from the scrap heap and still contend for playoff spots. I really just want to feel like the front office knows what they're doing and I honestly don't.

Moving Dwight to the second unit is an interesting idea based on that article. We could also run a slow methodical offense where we just feed him in the post and pass out of the double team for our offensively challenged second unit to launch more makable threes. Clifford will never do it though. He’s not even willing to experiment.
