But this year for last 2-3 months or so Hezonja has been getting his stride. Relaxed on the court getting confident. His lvl of play has steadily gone up aswell in that time filling the statline. It is, after dropping Oladipo , one of Magics dumbest ideas to not pick up his option. He plays within the rythem of the game. He was a major factor in ur L today, but you guys shouldnt be that surprised by his performance.
Hezonja is not a good player for us because of his defense. He definitely can shoot 3's but we have Wayne (0-9) Ellington. Hezonja is right where he needs to be to succeed, on a team without any aspiration to play in the postseason.
You would be wrong about that. He needs a team with a structured play. Orlando is a mess of a franchise. He can go and iso the hell out of teams, like Pistons (28pts) but he plays better in the rythem of the game on an unselfish team.
Id agree his D is not on par what his tools allow him to be. But its honestly miles from his first year, and getting better. Plus Orlando team D is not all that stellar so sometimes he is hung out to dry. His 1v1 D is actually very good. Doesnt help him also that as a natural 3 he is guarding 4s.
