by skills and overall impact among rookies, Simmons is the greatest

I’m guessing your joking....

Mitchell is a complete chucker.

His efficiency of late has been awful.

Donovan Mitchell 9/28 :o

I mean he’s good and all, but I wonder what some other rookies would look like if they had that kind of green light.

He's also been playing with the flu and Favors-Gobert plug the middle. Really wouldn't call him a chucker and his percentages this season don't support that hypothesis, either.

Do people not realize Ben Simmons is already an elite defender?? Mitchell is amazing but let's be real here

Mitchell's number is strikingly similar to Monta Elli's career average numbers. Ben Simmons is putting up numbers comparable to some of Jason Kidd's best season. Not close.

He played 37mins and 38mins on these back to backs vs Portland and the Spurs. I know the Spurs were depleated, but they were gritty. Anyways, he certainly struggled early, but he was clutch down the stretch. Watch the games..

Ellis never had a season in his career shooting as well from 3 point range as Mitchell, and wasn't nearly as dynamic. He had some high scoring seasons where he shot high percentages, but really only his peak (2007-08) was about as efficient as Mitchell is now. Mitchell also gets his offense completely differently. Fine to say Simmons is a better rookie (he is) but pretty poor comp for Mitchell.

Wait Payton has 22 points in 16 minutes and has only missed 1 shot.

Poor Orlando never saw that kind of production out of him....

The people dissing Mitchell must be looking at boxscores. He is the only shot creator on the Jazz and is consistency leading them to victories. You're not chucking if the offense depends on you creating opportunities. Favours and Gobert are getting baskets off of Mitchell misses after he attracts the defender and puts up the floater. That's as good as an assist.

Get out of here with your Monta Ellis comps. This kid is Dame Lillard with better defense. There's not many players in the L who you'd rather give the ball to in the clutch.

I was sure glad we won tonight. Would have been some finger pointing otherwise. Still, Mitchell was terrific to close the game. Gotta give him that.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

If Mitchell and Utah are winning games, which they seem to be doing, to the tune of 10 in a row most recently, what does it matter how his shooting percentage looks on the box score?, and particularly in games without Rubio?.

I take this as an insult against my man and one of the most underrated players going around, Joe Ingles!

Mitchell played like crap and still got 25, including a critical basket at the end of the game.

Wish he could have sank both those FTs at the end though, as Ginobli's miracle heave almost went in.
