I don't understand the premise of the article. Ayton is pretty much the consensus #1

Pretty sure he was just baiting us into talking about the Foreign Kid again.
Quick, change the subject!!!

He wants to be a power forward alongside another big man, and doesn't want to give efforts on defense. Well, I hate to say this, but he seems to be a perfect fit for the Kings (on/off the court).

I didn’t write the article, but seems like an article about Ayton.
Consensus #1 in group of 3 users in this thread?

macd-gm wrote:I went and checked about 6 mocks and 4 had Ayton as #1. Just making sure i'm not crazy. The title makes it sound like he's being overlooked but the article had good info in it. Good news for you, Luka was #1 in the other 2. Earlier in the season there was a lot of Bagley but hopefully people have wised up when they notice Duke is good without him.

They already have one of those..his name is WCS.

On this...we actually agree.
The hype surrounding this kid is too much. The expectations are going to be obscenely high.

Expectations won’t be a problem. Expectations in Real are something hard to understand.
Real is the biggest sport institution in the world. Only wins counts.

Can't believe I'm getting dragged back in on this kid...
One concern that's come up lately for Bagley and Doncic.
The team's they play on now are massively more talented (relative to the competition they face) than anything we offer.
Luka's the best player, thriving on the best team. What happens when he's the best player on the worst team?
We have a really good coach. That's kind of it.

Luka has answered that already. 3 starters and backup C out long term. One of them last years Euroleague MVP, with torn Acl before season. And Real still very good. Luka is at the moment only star there. All defenses concentrate on him.
I agree is enough about Luka.

If you believe that, I got some beachfront property in Kansas for sale. Since it's you, you can get it for cheap. Deal?

Bleacher ReportAt 7'1" and 250 pounds with a 7'5 ½ wingspan, Ayton's mix of size, strength, length and athleticism is tough to match among NBA centers. The same holds true for his skill set once it's fully developed.
Ayton has already evolved into both an advanced post scorer and threatening shooter from every level. He's averaging 19.7 points and has hit 10 three-pointers, 44.4 percent of his medium jumpers and 52.4 percent of his short jumpers.
Atlanta ranks last in the league in points out of the post, per NBA.com, and Ayton averages 1.08 points per possession on post-ups, ranking in the 92nd percentile, per Synergy Sports.
Ayton is an athletic, physical presence inside, one who's capable of creating his own shot from the elbows and short corners and also stepping out and knocking down jumpers (42.9 percent on jump shots, 10 made threes). He has the chance to be a dominant offensive player for a team that doesn't have any.
