Like always with Donovan, it's about how he's using players. If Melo were to play the Kanter role, his overall impact on the team would probably be better. Play him as an offensive force to feast on lesser units, use him situationally with the starters, don't overplay him. It's quite obvious that Melo being out there was not doing anything for the team really. Especially when they needed defense and had enough offense going without him. Yet Donovan kept playing him. And even if he didn't, Grant would still be first in line to get some of his minutes.
