Cody plays the game between his ears and he hustles. No way do the Sixers get those runway drives to the rim with Cody playing and no way would he be as bad as Willy is in every facet of basketball.

Dwight really hurt us tonight with several mental lapses. It’s say to say that Clifford didn’t rein him in this season when you consider all of the bad long range jumpers and constant brain farts.

The refs were bad at officiating for both teams. I saw phantom calls all game, especially on a lot of those errand Batum passes where the refs bailed us out with a call in what would normally be a typical lazy and careless Batum turnover. The NBA need to work on their referees. They’re the worst in all of professional sports easily. No consistency at all and too many bad calls to make up for.

Who is the salty one? Post 1 picture from the last 5 minutes of the game which went the Hornets way. Sorry, but it's obvious the NBA is putting lipstick on the pig.

you mean where MKG ran in to the rim before the ball got there? by rule goaltending? cmon man, don't be that salty. The better team won.

He is always like this. He takes losing hard but he is wrong here. We lost by double digits, my rule has always been you can never blame the loss on the refs (in any sport) when you end up getting blown out basically with a fourth quarter collapse the Hornets ended up blown out tonight! The final score is what it says it is and two unwarranted free throws wouldn't have changed the fact that our coach is an idiot and we have blown too many fourth quarter leads to blame the refs anyway.

I think we got the better end of the whistle most of the game, so don't have strong feelings there.

Yeah catch I was all about Duke until maybe 2011, followed recruiting and everything. Just slowly lost interest, to the point where I watch maybe 5 Duke games a year.

Tell me Robert Covington was in the act of shooting and Embiid's screen was legal on MKG?

Was it goaltending? Yes, by the rulebook it was. But it was a soft call just like the tech and just adds to the other garbage.

Close games in the NBA come down to the details and the refs made sure they went Philly's way tonight.

I think he is but I'm pretty sure he throws College allegiance out when it comes to NBA games, he is allowed his opinion (just like everyone else) regardless.

Yea college basketball is trash and disinteresting nowadays. I used to watch almost every team to the point where I knew the names of each player and their style of play on at least 75% of the NCAA teams.

I don’t think Redick bottled Kemba up in the 3rd. I think Kemba’s teammates froze him out by playing boneheaded and selfish offense. Dwight in particular. He kept trying to exchange blows with Embiid. Every time Embiid scored or went to the free throw line Dwight took it upon himself to try to answer and faltered.

The refs were bad both ways. They did miss a lot of calls like the phantom goaltending and the illegal screens but they also gave us at least 5 calls off the top of my head where I was like “if I was a Sixers fan I’d prolly be mad”.

Yeah dude I used to pick brackets besides I was familiar with like 80% of the teams in the tourney. Now I couldn't name the top five college teams.

That's fair re JJ and Kemba, not a slight on Kemba at all, just when I saw JJ kept switching on to him I assumed he would just ISO and go to work and seemed like he never did.

Dwight definitely went into his mode where he tries to one up and yeah that wasn't a lot of fun to watch. Probably didn't help that he burned Embiid that one time so he feels like he had the advantage.

OT: Is it because of the OAD era and you can't get attached to college players any longer? It sucks and certainly has effected me. I think I watched three full Duke games so far this season. Grayson Allen's speech on Senior Night tomorrow night may be the last senior in college that was a top recruit speech that stayed all four seasons for a Senior speech at Duke...EVER! No matter how you feel about Allen that is a sad thought and very sad for kids and college basketball as it's just not at Duke. The OAD rule is crap! The kids don't even really have to go to class, I wish they'd bring back going from high school straight to the pros as an option but once you sign a NLOI at a school you have to stay at least two years, three like college football would be ideal but I don't know if it will ever get to that point.

Maybe - something about how the 2010 team won, then the crew came back + Kyrie and they lost early, with so much of the attention going to Kyrie just felt weird and then all the OAD guys are just like whatever. I'll watch them when they get to the league and don't just out athlete everyone for a year.

I said I don't think Covington was in the act of shooting, I don't really remember the screen but I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this subject because I think neither would have changed the final outcome.

MCW was gloriously MCW tonight with 0-for-6 shooting.

I am a Hornet fan for almost 10 years now. I never missed a game thanks to the league pass (yeah, not even a game from the 7-59 season I missed haha)

Do one of you guys also be there? And, do you have any recommandation for the game? How early to go? etc? As a european, that's a bit new to me haha !

Let's show Embiid how we play !

Was there ever any sort of follow-up to this? I keep wondering how Radu's first NBA game was! Hope it was fun in spite of the loss. :D

I actually never give any reply after the game, since we spend most of our time visiting new york haha and also because I was a bit disappointed from the loss :(

HOWEVER, that was fantastic ! I love the atmosphere and the SHOW ala USA. the national anthem with the american flag all over the arena was splendid !

I tried to catch I the camera's shot me or not during the game, but all i found were small apparitions like this haha:

In the end, i even forgot to take pictures, and i could barely film during the game as I was too intensely concentrated on the game haha.
I liked it so much I really want to try to come Once a year to catch a game now !
