4th in DBPM, 3rd in defensive win shares so far. Watching him play, it's rare for a rookie to have the impact on defense he does. As good as Mitchell has been (watching the Jazz now) Simmons is clearly the best overall rookie in the NBA. I hope voters remember that defense counts too.
In the league for players with Defensive FGA >10 per game Simmons ranks 5th in the league in DFG% (difference) at -5.3%. Embiid is at first with -8.3%
Lonzo Ball not far off at 9th with -4.5%
