But did everyone miss the first half? I'm not talking about the fact that he only had two points in that half I'm talking about all of the other parts of the game. It was not good. And despite a massive uptick in playing time in March monk still had the lowest net rating on the team for March. His Advanced stats are still really really bad. I get that everyone really wants to see him succeed and to rub it in Clifford's face for not playing him all year but let's just not try to get too excited about one of his random scoring outburst. He's got to show a lot more than getting hot for a quarter from Deep before I'm going to start getting excited about his prospects as a potential starter.
I think he's had recent games lately where he played an overall better game than he did tonight.

I get where you're going with this, but for me, it's more about Cliff hamstringing all of our rookies. It's as if they are too inexperienced and raw to get any PT in his system (which they are in most senses), but then in turn, not giving them the latitude to be allowed to make mistakes and get better.... thus improving and shaking off the inexperience.
Malik is a Steve Francis-esque alpha style of player that has potential to be a beast if given the time to grow. He doesn't lack the confidence, but sitting in GBoro and at the end of the bench getting garbage cleanup play will stunt his growth, as well as his confidence.
Dude was a 19 year old, 11th overall pick and came from a talented collegiate program. It's not like we are trying to figure out whether or not to play Ajinca or P.J.
