To add a grain of salt, the Knicks brass know that fixing this is a long term project so putting this expectation out there and making it sound like a fan plea is just good business. Having said that, I think it is awesome that a conversation captured on this forum was, as you said, validated, corroborated if you will, by these guys. They remembered that convo, that day enough to be still thinking about it over a year later. That's pretty awesome. For as much time as we all think about the Knicks, their coach etc, most of us know that we're not a blip on their radar. Delvec obviously is on the mind of Perry Mills.

Going back years now there were skeptics that this board didn't reach the real world of management concerns and I always said that is completely improbable. Delvec made hay out of a perfect situation to share their concerns which was just great, but this board registers.

Word gets around. So I don't think only dummies on twitter are taken into account about what "the fans" think the franchise should do.

Granted, Guitar Jimmy probably figured a long time ago that the flush monkeys who can buy expensive box seats are not necessarily the hardcore fans so perhaps he never cared what dedicated fans really think. But so much damn losing ground this situation down to the point that a legit rebuild became the last option standing.

It just took the right GM to come along and say "look fellas, you and I know this will never work by starphucking our way through this, so why don't we do it the right way for once?"

So I feel the murmur in the background of the real fans who wanted this permeated the atmosphere and we finally got a guy at top to make the case for it, because we know it is right and so does Perry.

We may be witnessing a franchise turning thread, if Knicks some day wins a champ and someone make a movie out of it, please include this scene. It is just as dramatic as it can be for a knowledgeable fan to talk with a humble GM.

110 And-1s now, not a realgm record but probably a Knicks forum record.

Mills and Perry should hit up RealGM if they want a true sense of fan opinions. Especially our board. Some of us have been begging for a rebuild for YEARS!

I hope they read it was some caution and discernment.

Because it's hard to get KP back once you've traded him.

Also, I'd be embarrassed if I heard Perry say "KP is a really good player, sort of a Sean Van Novacamby" :D

We need to lockdown all Mark Jackson fans just in case

that was going to be my next point. If they ran into a few casual knicks fans who remember mark jackson and say bring him in. Does that mean they would pick him?

Lord I hope not...

Mark Jackson IS credited with developing the Warriors and building thier culture. Just saying.

Now the other stuff about getting along with others (specifically analytics guys), bringing his religion into the lockerroom is an entirely different thing. Not to mention I can't stand his annoying soapboxing.

But I wouldn't take his hiring as a sign he won't develop players and build a culture. Not at all.

if they hire Mark Jackson I would seriously consider not being a fan anymore. I feel that strongly about how much is despise him.

Also no pride. Always says how player friendly he is when commentating anytime when there an all star vs coach disagreement is mentioned. Sounds like someone who bends knee before a player if that what takes to coach again.

Mark Jackson didn't build sh*t. He got to coach a team with talent. That's it.
