He was successful everywhere he went, never afraid of challenges. If he left one place, they were always desperate to get him back. He won 2 D League championships with his own system. Stackhouse won, but you must remember that he won with Nurse designed system. Nurse was a candidate for assistant in Steve Kerrs staff but he stayed in toronto.
Nurse has immense experience with developing players, he knows how to mold them into winning players.
If Weltman is saiyng truth, he thinks Vogel is a good coach, so why he fired him ?
1. He knows there is a better coach out there.
2. He is afraid someone else will hire him before we do.
Weltman dont need interview with Nurse, he worked with him for years so if he knew there is a better coach out there it is propably Nurse or Stackhause. Stack is a bit to arogant for my taste i think there is a chance players will grow tired of him.
Nurse is my number one option mainly because of how he reshaped Toronto's offense. We need someone creative and effective. I like the idea of Stackhouse, but I still have PTSD after JV.
The more I read and research on Nick Nurse the more I want the guy here and hopefully Stackhouse will join as a lead assistant. The dude not only won those D league title teams, but he has won championships at every stop he's been a head coach. Raptors have been sensational since he got there. He basically saved Dwayne Casey's career. Look at Coach Casey's record before Nurse got to the Raptors.
British League: Birmingham, Manchester,London, Brighton - He won championships or league playoff championships at each one.
Belgium League: Telindus Oostende - Belgium Cup winner
G-League : Iowa Energy, Rio Grande Valley Vipers - D/G League Champions
