There was a stretch in the fourth where there’s an upward momentum by the Sixers that I thought Spo should have inserted Josh richardson and whiteside.
I’m glad that we faced the Heat in the first round for I thought Sixers could learn the most from the Heat more than any other team in the east. The physicality just opens the eyes for the young players. It also will make them realize that grit and grind style basketball can somewhat make up for the lack in talent.

Doubt they'd entertain the idea of moving Dunn.
I'm a proponent of future picks, 2019/2020. Take a teams bad contract, give them a good player, hope they fail horribly. At worst we get a pick. At best it could be lottery.
All i know is any team that draft's Doncic should be banging down our door asking what we would want for Dragic. Would be ideal reuniting the fellow championship country men together.
Dragic to the Spurs makes a lot of sense, as Parker is in the twilight of his career and they want to stay competitive. We might be able to receive a lightly protected 2020 first rounder from them. No protection would be best, but seeing as how teams are being built in Boston and Philly off of other teams mistakes, it might be hard to do. The Spurs do look like a team that could crash and burn as they're at their most volatile right now.

Its the same repetitive chit always with this team. Always keep pullin the same stuff that makes you smh. Choke big leads, go on an offensive drought, get outrebounded, miss free throws, mess up on D. Guys, im not even talking about this game only. This team has been doing this THE WHOLE SEASON and is really frustrating to watch as a fan. You would think they learned by now after choking like 10 reg season games away and its the playoffs and its time to turn on the switch but nah, they keep up the stubborn habits and crumble always.
Too bad this series is much closer than what it looks like but Philly will stomp us in 5....I love the Heat but this version is just ugh.

Dragic for Pau, DW and 2020 1st rounder?
Don't know Pau's worth, but I think he's got a few years left on his contract and he's got to be pushing 40.
Don't know DW either. Bigger point with low assist numbers, but high 3 point %.

Why? Our only legit franchise success came on the back of a top draft pick.
We're turning into the Knicks at this rate. They've been trying to win for 15 years digging hole after hole.
Because, as I said in another post, professional sports are about competition, not about losing on purpose. Being rewarded for tanking sends a bad message to fans and kids growing up playing team sports that not playing to win is o.k.

No the goal is to win a championship and to do everything allowed in the books to do it. One would be an idiot to think otherwise. The same principles apply in real life. Take the dolphins as an example for following the same Heat plan. They try to win instead of bottoming out for a top draft pick. The dolphins are considered a joke, do you want the same for the Heat? It’s all about winning at the end of the day. This match has shown us crystal clearly how doing one philosophy of wining vs the tanking and how painful wrong no dead wrong we have been. People get fired for this level of failure...

While we still have our firsts for 2019 and 2020, the Heat need to spend the next 2 seasons for "player development" purposes. Give Winslow and Richardson at least 30 minutes a game, 15 FGAs each, and Bam 25-28 mpg. See what DJJ can do.
The contracts of Whiteside, Dragic, and TJ all expire in the 2020 off-season. Think about the pieces we would have in place by then (assuming no giving up assets for salary dumps): Winslow, Richardson, Bam, 2019 1st, and 2020 1st. Hopefully one of those will turn out to be a good 2nd or 3rd option for a contender and then we'd already have the supporting cast in place for a star FA.
BTW I can definitely see Riley, Wade, and Haslem all retire at the same time.

IMO: There's a few metrics of a good coach:
- Wins one or more titles
- Gets a team to overachieve
- Can get his team to pull an upset in the playoffs
I think Spo does a great job of getting his teams to play hard, but I think he could've convinced a lot of us skeptics by pulling the upset on Philly. I don't think it'll happen at this point, but if he did, I'd personally have to give him credit for doing it.

Not sure if you picked up on this, but I was agreeing with your post, just in a more conversation-provoking way.
