My main quibble with Embiid has been his decision making. He makes mistakes similar to Wide Receivers in football where they start to run or make a football move before actually securing the ball. Embiid is guilty of the basketball version of that at times. I'd like to see some added control to his game. Less recklessness, less threes, more mid range, more low post dominance, smarter decisions on defense. He's right there, and as long as he can stay healthy, he'll figure it out.
Speaking of health and physicality, I'm not fitness expert, but he seems like he could really benefit from some added core training, and lower leg workouts. Better core, stronger legs I think will lead to better balance for him. He's got balance issues that need to be worked out. Despite having incredible footwork, his landings tend to scare years off my life and cause me to sprout gray hair. Like I said (correct me if i'm wrong) but I definitely think he's got some room to improve from a physical and cardio standpoint. I really hope he takes this offseason seriously and hammers down on building the body to be strong. I have no doubt that JoJo is a worker, and the only thing holding Joel Embiid back is Joel Embiid. We all want Hakeem Olajuwon 2.0, but that is ultimately up to him.
