How about Carter evolving into a current horford? Bambas athleticism is overrated imo. If he gets stronger and develops a decent j he can be useful. College relies on shot blockers more in my opinion because the lane and the lack of defensive 3 seconds make them more valuable. Can't really think of a guy with a immense length playing with only average athleticism

How do you feel about the eversopopular Bamba to Gobert comparison? I think it will be quite difficult for Bamba to ever reach that, but curious what others think and how that relates to him potentially sliding given today's game.

I see that comparison and I don’t think Gobert is skilled enough to say Bamba can’t reach that. A lot of what Gobert does is with his size and quickness. But I also see how Gobert was an issue in the playoffs because his offense was lacking. In the NBA you need defense, but when guys are running all over you you need to be able to take advantage of the mismatch on the other end. Gobert wasn’t skilled enough offensively to do that.

Bamba is more of a average athlete. Gobert is a pretty athletic

How much is wcs as much as poor defensive power forwards. In college he was often asked to guard the best player other than pgs. I remember him making Fenton I believe who was a good scorer I think at providence life hell. He switched everything. Zach Randolph doesn't help you look better on D

I think he would of annilated college a efficient 20 pt scorer and a very solid defensive tools decent rebounder. He's more of a stretch 4 because big wings tend to play that now

I personally don't see either sliding too much but especially not Bamba.

After the combine when some GMs start falling in love with his physical gifts and also once he gets to show off some shooting n offensive moves he's been working on, if anything it won't shock me if gets him name in the convo to go 2-5. Carter maybe, because he got overshadowed by Bagley and Jackson might nudge his way in front of him but I really don't see him falling out of the lottery.

The top candidates imo will be either Bridges. If Colangelo falls in love with another prospect over Mikal, I could see him sliding a little because teams might gamble a bit more on "upside" and Miles really looks like an undersized PF that it wouldn't surprise me if he slide into the mid to late 1st.

With MP Jr, I just can't see the teams b/w 8-12 not picking him up.

As for surprising slides I definitely think Sexton will be picked later than where he's being mocked, the same for Kevin Knox. Troy Brown will be a player that will rise, I wouldn't be shocked if he's taken in the late lottery by either the Clippers or the Nuggets.

well if teams feel his skillset is enough to overcome his deficiencies athletically and pedestrian length etc you could be right, but I just don't see somebody right now regardless of skill that is worth more than Bamba,Bagly,Doncic,Jackson or Ayton to anyone in that range including Orlando at 6th. What stands out to me about him more than anything is the low release and that would scare me before 12th to LAC
