not sure he's a star but his numbers are better than Ingrams were in his rookie season. I wouldn't say either were pathetic. I mean Tatum had to defer to some veterans for most of the year. I would think that Ingram was given a better opportunity in his first year and put up lesser numbers.TheRealKaboom wrote:Dloading99 wrote:Taytum Mithcell those guys are stars. and Yeah everybody is saying how great Taytum is and he's great and how we should've taken him.
Tatum averaged 13.9/5/1.6 on the season. Those numbers are pathetic given all the minutes and opportunity he was handed. How does that make him a star?

Man I agree with you. please say that more in here.
I don't understand why this regime is all about the star chasing and not team building. I understand Paul George he said he wanted to come here.
But once again I point at the Celtics all the guys they drafted Jayson Taytum Jaylon Brown Terry Rozier Marcus Smart Blue prints to what they are now.
We were in the finals with them and look how they rebuilt it. it just puzzles me. Danny Ainge did it the right way. Keeping his young players and not trading them not making them available.
Our team can't develop because Magic Continues and Rob continues to put this out that guys aren't untouchable when you have that kind of narrative.
guys get nervous they talk to their agents. who are they talking about? Why aren't they committed. and it's an issue with this front office that this stuff keeps getting out that guys are not untouchable.
So we have to sit here all season with Brandon Ingram Balling thinking? is he gonna be traded for Kawaii. will San Antonio move him. it's like let these guys have a good off season. How can guys be all in with this team when this stuff continues to come out?
it's not professional basically they put the writing on that wall that Julius could talk to other teams. and now the reports come out that he's looking for a contender.
I just wish this team would commit to their development of their squad. Rob said Young guys are winning in the playoffs. Why can't you build around Kyle Kuzma Brandon Ingram Lonzo Ball Julius Randle and Thomas Bryant.

Tatum had a higher usage rate than Al Horford. He was deferring to no one, especially after Irving went down. Or was it Gordon Hayward he was deferring to all year?
And what does Brandon Ingram have to do with Jayson Tatum? They're six months apart in age, btw.
Anyway, I'll see you over on the Celtics board, where I'll be doing there what you're doing here. Except in reverse.

Yes, Ainge did do it the right way. This included signing two max free agents and trading for a disgruntled star.

I can see Johnson trading Ingram for Kawhi.
We best trade Ball before we Ingram.
Well San Antonio have no need for Ball because they already have a young guard, and they need a SF to replace Kawhi and Ingram is it.

Only of those three players you just mentioned is currently contributing to their playoff run. Furthermore, their two max guys are Hayward and Horford. We''ve consistently thumbed our nose at signing guys like that in Laker land. The disgruntled star they traded for? They stockpiled assets to acquire, including first trading for IT, who was a major part of that package. IT is another type of player this organization has thumbed their nose at acquiring.
I would also point out that all of the guys the Cs have drafted during the same time frame as us, Smart, Brown, Rozier, Tatum, are still there and helping with this charge. NONE of them have been dangled so the Cs could star chase.
Numbers rule the universe.

Yeah, let’s trade a 21 year old for a 27 year old injured player who can’t even show up to support his team in the playoffs.
Sounds smart.

Well the Spurs don't give a F about us or what we want. It's Ingram or no deal.

Think he gets traded to the Celtics...
Maybe Hayward + Celtics first round picks.
Don't think the Spurs will take the best package, just the best package from the east.

So Towns is on the board as well. Wow....... summer gonna be lit. I am glad we have so much flexibility that we can enter any conversation with any team. It's time for us to get back to relevance. Do your thing Maginka.

Crazy thing is that Booker is probably vouching for both Towns + DLO to join the SUns.....
With the 1st pick, 16th pick, 31st and 59th this season.
Another first round pick + potential the Buck's first round pick in 2019...
Suns have the assets to get them.

ha - who ever it was I think everyone would agree that they were a lot better than the players Ingram deferred to last year.TheRealKaboom wrote:Chuck-Cheese wrote:not sure he's a star but his numbers are better than Ingrams were in his rookie season. by the way, I was surprised he had a higher usage rate than Hortford but you were correct. I was even more surprised that he was tied with smart in terms of usage and behind 5 other players who played 50 or more games. Nice try...TheRealKaboom wrote:Chuck-Cheese wrote:not sure he's a star but his numbers are better than Ingrams were in his rookie season. I wouldn't say either were pathetic. Booker doing everything to get Towns.
That gets it done 1st pick 16th pick and Josh Jackson. Suns get Towns with Booker or instead of Jackson TJ Warren.
Wolves can draft their towns replacement in Ayton. that Deal makes sense for both sides.
Still think the Lakers should stand pat develop their young players and sign Lebron and Paul George. Lebron is signing here.

Top player in draft is better than Towns. Phoenix has #1 pick. No need for Towns.

Ayton is not better than Towns now, lets be honest. Towns is a 20/10 guy already and is ridiculously young. Ayton is fantastic and all but Towns has already proven he is a franchise type player.

If Bamba is a generational center, Ayton has the potential to be the best player ever to play the game. Comparatively speaking. Ayton has a much better skillset for today's game.
