Anyway a somewhat realistic offseason (I say somewhat, still a bit of liberties are taken).
First:
Trade 1: Chicago-L.A.
Luol Deng + Zubac + 47 for Omer Asik
Bulls get a decent prospect (who they can start at centre in all honesty, if he goes there and is motivated he'd do very well in Chicago) and a pick in the 2nd (which they lack now) and we can stretch Asik for cheaper.
Draft:
#25 - Khyri Thomas - I think everyone should know my love of this man now, 6'3-6'4, 6'10 wingspan, NBA 3&D with handles and is efficient, him and Hart would be battling for S.G. if we missed out on a big name signing.
#34 (Purchased from Atlanta) - Keita Bates Diop - Its possible that he won't make it that far but his age i think will push him into the 2nd
#39 (Purchased from Philly) - Gary Clark - the oldest player in this draft I am sure but there isn't a flaw in his game, also in terms of ready to go players off the bench, he's there to immediately make an impact.
Trade 2:
Julius Randle (S&T) for Myles Turner
Value is off on face value you'd think (i'd say Turner is more valuable absolutely) but McMillan has called out Turner a few times over his play, obviously Randle's agent isn't best friends with Indiana right now but Randle would be going to a playoff team, would be a clear 2nd option and could be the big man equivalent of Oladipo (if he is, that makes them a scary 1-2 combo). Also him and Sabonis would be a fantastic front court (also i'd say better than Turner-Randle).
We do it cause we save a ton of money this year and get a centre we can rely upon, even with losing Randle, Turner would be amazing and is the better prospect.
Signings:
Lets say Lebron goes to Philly or Houston (to compete).
Paul George - 4 year deal - max money
Tyreke Evans - 1 year deal - 17 mill (similar to the KCP deal, pay him more in 1 year than he would earn on the open market whilst we bide time). Team option in 2nd year (for 18 mill).
Nerlens Noel - 1 year deal, 1 team option - 5 mill (i'd take the gamble, see what he can do as a defensive anchor).
Mario Hezonja - 1 year deal - 1 team option - 6 mill (same with Hezonja).
Rajon Rondo - 1 year deal - MLE (for mentorship reasons, also he is clever and as arrogant as he can be, he'd be good for Lonzo, he'd also be tough on him also, couldn't ask for a better mentor as both have similar strengths and weaknesses).
Season opener Lineup:
C. Myles Turner
P.F. Kyle Kuzma
S.F. Paul George
S.G. Brandon Ingram
P.G. Lonzo Ball
Bench:
Tyreke Evans, Rajon Rondo, Mario Hezonja, Khyri Thomas, Nerlens Noel, Gary Clark, Keita Bates Diop
Also During next season:
IF Kawhi Demands a trade from San Antonio (after signing the supermax) and he has been playing well still.
To Lakers:
Kawhi Leonard
To San Antonio:
Brandon Ingram
Tyreke Evans
That is the best rebuilding/retooling package they could dream of.
Then we're rocking a lineup of
Turner-Kuzma-Leonard-George-Ball
