I want to like him. Sometimes he plays really well. But I can't do it. He's just not the quality needed to bring us a title. Maybe as a backup...FA Cups...early CL, that sorta stuff.

Off topic: What a bogus game tonight. Hard to throw shade a Durant after a 27point-12board performance...but 9of24 shooting won't get it done.Steph 10 of 26, Klay 4 of 13. Seemed like an off night all around. Nobody had it going.

Tough luck guys.

You had a great season. CL finalists is a good step in the right direction. CL again next year and you played some wonderful attacking football. Improved defence (which has to be down to tactics as well as players) and you might win something next year.

You were definitely one of the most - if not the most - entertaining team of the year to watch as a neutral.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Hey....yeah, had a buddie texting me updates. Sounded like a stinker.

On the upside....we made it to the final. Puts our name out there for sure. We're in CL next year. I think there are many many things to be happy about, and alot of positives.

Now I just want Klopp to take the League alot more serious...and start building a team with better D, and a little more depth. I think he can. I hope he can. Like I said.....double-digit ties just doesn't work for me. I'm not into it.

We'll see......good year though.

Good season.

The CL loss was one of the better ways to lose. The team is angry and some flaws (lack of depth and goalkeeping) got exposed. If they had just got their asses handed to them fair and square, it would have been demoralizing.

There are rumors of a huge transfer warchest. Between the CL money and Coutinho cash, it should be greater than 200m pounds. Liverpool already has Keita coming in. They need another winger, a CAM, a DM and a GK. If they can get several world class players to fill those holes, Liverpool will be even tougher next year.

Yeah, I hope you are right. I think we're pretty close for a challenge. Little better on the D....little more depth, and I think we can do it. Need a little bit better attitude towards 'lesser competition' IMO. That's on the coach.

Man-C had one of those seasons. You get 100 points, and your gonna win yourself a title. But even if you bring them down to 90...we're still 15 points shy this year. 12 draws is far too many. Cut that in half, and your getting close.

Liverpool actually had 10 points from their first 8 games. Last summer was a fiasco with RB refusing to sell Keita, Southampton with VVD, Coutinho refusing to play, Ox getting picked up at the last minute, etc. It all worked out in the end but Liverpool's title shot was over before November.

They need to get their business done quick and start off fast next year.

The rest of the season, Liverpool played at a 95 point pace and that included several draws against low ranked teams as Liverpool played their B team in trying to prepare for CL games. 95 points will win in a lot of years. From when van Dijk signed to the end of the season, Liverpool had the lowest GAA in the league.

There is reason for optimism. Just don't sell Salah or something and this should be fun.

DM . . . check. Fabinho was the fastest transfer saga ever.

Mane - Firmino - Salah
???? - Keita - Fabinho
Robertson - Van Dijk - Lovren - TAA

Read on Twitter

Fabinho is a top-rated defensive midfielder, one widely regarded as one of the best in the world at his positions, which bodes well for LFC as the 6 has been a position that’s caused the club troubles in recent seasons due to Jordan Henderson’s struggles with injury issues.

Wow...that was quick.

Very nice signing. Do you think we will land Fekir?

Who do you think are some realistic Keeper options for us (other than
Alisson)?

I think they will get Fekir.

GK? Donnaruma, Oblak, Allison, Butland and maybe a german guy like Leno are options. I'm not a big Butland fan and on the other hand, Oblak would be nuts.

Aulas being annoying with the Fekir situation while we want to get it done before the World Cup. Alisson signing would be a serious move from a club who always tries to be a little to clever at the GK position. Just pay a premium for quality.

Exactly. If the club was willing to pay £75 million for VvD, a defender, why not put the same emphasis on keeper? Doubtful, but I'd like to see Liverpool pay Oblak's release clause.
