I'm just shocked, staggered and stupefied that you don't have Carter higher on your lists. He's supposedly Horford-like. Figured you'd be all on that like @spud on fat chicks.
Because he is not like Horford. The prospect who most reminds me of Horford is Mikal Bridges. Makes everyone better. Elite execution possession by possession and will get better with age. Same mentality, same meh iso skills. Same winning passion. Lacks weaknesses and is a + skill prospect. I love Mikal. I love love love Mikal
Carter reminds me of Brook Lopez mixed with Zach Randolph with athleticism like Kenyon Martin. Clearly not the peak of any of these players but like Martin, hes kinda stiff but excellent and running and jumping. Very good mover on offense. Brook with the way he uses his BBIQ and skill level and Z-Bo in how he does an elite job of using leverage and footwork for scoring and rebounding. I like him a ton like I like JJJ but i dont see more than a high level rotational piece in the long run. Not a star or elite player.
Slow your role playa...Mikal came to da party wit me...get ur own girl..or go grab MPJ from kg or Wendell from Jamal ...
Weeeze fitta go to dis party together long time comin you homewrecker...
Ok I can’t lie that got away from me a tad..
Clearly spud's been over-served. Somebody grab his keys.
Here's a dilemma for you guys that love Carter, Bridges and guys like that. I get they'd be good culture building block types, not necessarily franchise guys. IOW, once we get back to winning, they're guys you'd like to have. The problem is, that's probably not for another 2-3 years (if I'm being optimistic). By then, it's just about time to re-sign them. Can't over-pay. Probably shouldn't match a major rFA offer. What then?
I ain't tryna be another POR max'ng out guys like Miles Linnid and that other clown who's name escapes me. Next thing you know, we're capped out and crapped out on middling young(s) who really are only worth it when surrounded by plus vets.
