It’s true. I think Curry and Durant have capped their legacies because championships won’t add to it. They are expected to win, and it’s not impressive anymore. 
Maybe that’ll end up what turns the tide. One of the reasons the best players became so fixated on championships is because of how much it impacted their legacy. The first thing people talk about when comparing all time greats is how many rings they have. 
LeBron is changing that. Even if this series is a sweep, LeBron will have done more for his legacy than Curry or Durant. People are giving so much him so much more respect and praise, deservedly so. KD and Curry will never get there until they take the hard road. 
No matter how many rings KD wins with the Warriors, his legacy won’t be the great player he was. Instead, people will remember how he punked out. I’m sure KD will realize this if he hasn’t already being as sensitive as he is.
