I havent seen a lot of discussion around it but the difference in game 1 vs game 2 and why it was never really close was the Golden St. started McGee yes they started a big man who stopped Cleveland from dominating the boards and in turn Cleveland never really was competitive the lead constantly was in the double digits vs game 1 where Golden St. got lucky to pull out the win...

I think it had more to do with the fact that GS shot 57% overall and 41.7% from 3 in game 2. They did better rebounding primarily because they made a higher % of their shots and Cleveland made a lower % of theirs (and you get a lot more def rbs than off rbs regardless of who is out there).

So I've noticed some buzz on twitter (mostly from Cavs homers) that there's some conspiracy by the refs to help GS. Now I don't think the officiating has been great but to think the league would conspire for GS in these two games is frankly ridiculous. If anything the league would conspire to get the Cavs a couple of games because the longer this goes the more money they make. A 4 game beating is bad for the league and loses them millions of dollars. Are people really that dense to not understand that??

This 100%. When the Warriors shoot that well no one beats them. It's really that simple.

The rebounding in this series is interesting because really the Cavs should and for the most part are selling out and crashing the hell out of the offensive glass and pretty much conceding getting beat in transition because of it but that's probably their best option with what they are facing. Even if you focus on getting back the Warriors still beat you in that area so might as well punt it and try to get some extra possessions.

And you dont think the shots they got in game 2 were more open by a split second because Cleveland had to crash the boards a little bit harder than the previous game and couldnt close out on the 3 quite as hard?

Well if Cleveland was crashing the offensive boards and missing they would have been on the other end of the court anyway..LeBron usually would hang back.

If you are talking about Cleveland crashing the defensive boards harder meaning they were not close enough to close out I don't think that's an issue...GS only had 7 offensive boards (and 4 in the first game). Cleveland never has much trouble getting defensive rebounds. There were just fewer of them to get this game because of fewer missed shots.

McGee also only played 18min and despite going perfect from the field to score 12, he was still a 0 plus/minus. In those 18min, McGee grabbed 2 rebounds. They weren't dominating the boards because of him but throwing McGee in as a starter gave them a different dynamic which the Cavs weren't prepared for.

This series is a wrap. The Warriors are just too much better than everyone else. Steph and Klay both had weak games, but they still win because KD is unstoppable. It's going to be a long period of Warriors dominance, especially if the Rockets can't keep the team together and build a stronger team.

Yeah, it kind of sucks the NBA has gotten to the point where all the best players want to play together. It just makes it uninteresting. Hopefully that stops post LeBron and players stay loyal to their teams.

Unless they come to the Suns of course.

Durant ruined everything

worst part is, they don't need the ref's help to win but they get it anyway, making it that much less fun, that much more boring

Seeing Kerr hug Curry it would be interesting to know where we'd be now if that Amare for Curry trade went through.

part of the reason i can't stand the Warriors is because i think of that guy in a Suns uniform. A lot.

they are just too good, too talented. great job by the GM, coaching staff putting the team together. it helped with Green of course - kind of coming from nowhere. rockets were close - but without Paul - no chance.

Probably the ideal time to be a fan of a rebuilding team. In the end every team is in the same position until the Warriors disband, only difference is where you’re picking in the draft.
