False.

Legacy matters.

People say we won't remember how KD won his rings in 20 years but that's false. A lot of us will remember his move as the softest professional sports move we've ever seen.

It will stain his legacy forever.

Makes me think of watching the former player analysts on TV... Shaq, Kenny Smith, Chauncy Billups, Jalen, Barkeley, Pierce... they like to rib each other about their careers... you think when Durant's generation takes over those roles they won't be snickering and slighting Durant for how he won his championships? You think that won't bother him? He has shown himself to be the most sensitive dude ever. It's gonna haunt him forever.

Dude is freaking stained.

Yeah you don't represent the millions of fans who buy his jersey or his shoes or those watching these Finals games, around the world.

Real GM posters are a tiny, whiny minority.

I don't appreciate him at all, I wish he retires already honestly, he is pathetic and weak minded, oh and soft. I would never ever respect that dude ever idc if he wins the next 5 chips. Very insecure and if I see him in public I'm going to call him a cupcake.

How long will GS fans keep pushing this narrative?

GS didnt need KD to get over any hump. They were literally 1 play away from being back 2 back championship. 1 draymond tech away. 1 silly Curry behind the back pass away. 1 shot away. or 1 lucky bounce. And that was due to some huge effort by Cavs to come back, which frankly GS allowed because GS got sloppy.

It wasn't that Cavs were so much better than GS that they needed another MVP/ top 3 type player to "catch up". Stop making excuses so you can believe that KD going to GS is not a weak beta move. Even KD on his burner accounts think its a beta move that needs to be defended at every corner.

Nice try. Just look at the facts and results, and not the woulda, shoulda, maybe, etc. If my Aunt had a mustache, she'd be my Uncle. Stop it, you know better. Just limit your opinion to the actual facts. Dubs didn't get it done, period. They needed an upgrade, period. End of story.

I have 0 respect for him. He could not have chosen an easier way to rings. Pathetic from my point of view.
If you're asking me who the Mavs best player is, I'd say Luka. A guy like Delon Wright probably rivals his impact though at this stage in his career. KP may as well if he gets his **** together.

Everyone knows he's a great player. We've known this for years... but him playing with virtually no pressure at all shouldn't be glorified. They're up 2-0 and he has a great game, but what if he doesn't? They still are 2-1 and are HEAVY favorites. Where was this when he was in game 7 against GS in 2016? It's just not very impressive for a player of his skill level. Especially when he can get a switch on any crap Cavs defender and no one can help off because of the shooters he has. Single coverage all game.

Warriors wouldn't be in the finals this year if CP3 didn't get hurt!

Dude is still a cupcake.

He went from being an MVP type player, to now being the same player with a cocky punk attitude! He needs to realize he took the easy way to a ring. Still a stud, but a coward

He's excellent. Reminds me of myself actually. My 7 year old nephew is in this league and a while back they were by far the best team in that age group...rarely lost. They decided to let me play along with them. I thought I could make them even better and we could dominate. I seriously was unstoppable. We never lost. Got a trophy. People thought it was ridiculous and were kind of pissed I was out there playing but hey, I don't listen to them. I don't see them carrying around trophies. Who cares what people think if I'm happy?

This is just willfully obnoxious. The Heat started two non-NBA players the entire season. Carlos Arroyo, Erick Dampier, Joel Anthony, the husk of Mike Bibby all saw significant starts. Just look what 10 min of having bums on the floor does to NBA teams now. There were 120 min of bums on that Miami team.

Its just absurd false equivalence.

Oh please. You throw in Aroyo but you get to ignore the fact that team had 3 super stars

Wade and Bron and Bosh. He didn't join Wade and scraps. He joined Wade and Bosh . But noooh if we wish to trash GSW then it was Mike Bobby and Aroyo.

Chris Bosh wasn't a superstar. You had two superstars, one all star and a bunch of below replacement level players. This is a major false equivalence.

Chris Bosh is an 11 time all-star, who had been 2nd team All-NBA the season before joining Miami.

He wasn't just an all star, he was legit top-12 player. He was a tier above the current Draymond Green, Klay Thompson tier.

The amount of all star selections mean nothing. By the numbers he wasn't a game changing player i.e. a superstar.

I respect his talent. An incredible player and his scoring abilities are so effortless. Seems like a decent person in real life too. Couldn't care less about what he's done with the Warriors though. But at the end of the day, cheap rings are still rings...

 because you speak for everyone who isn't on Realgm? You think KD doesn't care about the opinion of others in the NBA or analysts or hardcore fans? He quite obviously does. He hears it and it quite obviously effects him.

Most everyone I know who (I don't think posts on realgm) follows the NBA even casually recognizes what KD did was pathetic from a competitive standpoint.

Everyone has a legacy. Dirks is struggling with the Mavs for years and years and finally overcoming and willing his franchise to a championship. People (NBA people and knowledgeable fans) respect the hell out of that.

KD's is being the 2nd best player in the league and joining the core of a 73 win team who had already won a championship and quite clearly didn't need him to win another (even if they did miraculously lose in 7 to CLE). That's a horrible look.

I don't appreciate it because KD, Westbrook, Dipo and Hortford could have been an incredible team going up against GSW and the Spurs.

What is there to appreciate? The guy not only gutted my team, he gutted the entire league. There's really no reason to watch for the forseeable future.

No I don't have to speak for anyone.

The facts speak for themselves.

High sales of jerseys and shoes, highest ratings since 2003 for one of the Finals games. A lot of Real GM people claim they're not even watching the Finals because the suspense is gone.

But millions in the US and around the world are watching.

How could this be, KD "ruined" the NBA, according to Real GM? :noway:

No. You are factually incorrect. He wasn't a 2nd team All NBA player the season before joining Miami. Nor the year before that. Nor the year before that. He was a guy who put up empty stats on a team that didn't even make the playoffs (in the "weak" east) the two years before he joined the Heat and he was a fringe All-Star that made funny commercials trying to get named to the ASG.

Draymond was a top 2 RPM player the year before KD joined the Warriors. He has been DPoY or runner up the last 3 years and has twice as many All NBA selections as Bosh. If not for Steph, Klay would have two of the three most prolific 3 pt shooting seasons in NBA history and is a near ideal running mate to put around players that can attack a defense.

Its too bad Bosh had the clot issues he did because he would be a near ideal stretch 5 in today's game. But back in the Heat days he got BEAT the **** up and played more 4 than 5, thereby negatively impacting his value.
