-Lebron to Houston
-Chandler/Dudley/someone else to Cleveland
-Anderson/Gordon to the Suns
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ycnyvygvThe kicker is the Cavs send us #8 in the draft. We send back #16 and a future pick (Could be the Bucks pick, the Miami pick, or our own pick). Houston also sends them 3 first rounders.
So the Cavs turn Lebron and #8 into #16 + 4 more first rounders and cap relief.
The Rockets get Lebron.
We get a starting caliber stretch 4 and a Combo Guard that bring the D'Antoni system in as well as a winning Culture. Plus we get #8.
Your 2018-2019 Suns
Gordon/Trae Young (#8)/Ulis
Booker/Daniels
JJ/TJ
Anderson/Bender/Chriss
Ayton (#1)/Sauce
We keep our young guys add two more youngsters, and add two vets who can play at the cost of #16 and a future pick.
To get the Cavs to bite, it might have to be our own lightly protected 2019 first rounder, but it might be worth it.
Top 5 protected in 2019
Top 3 protected in 2020
Top 1 protected in 2021 or they then get the Miami pick.
Meanwhile the Rockets roll into 2019 with
Chris Paul
James Harden
PJ Tucker
Lebron James
Clint Capela
+ ring chasers
No isn't ... He wanted to dump Ryan Anderson... No Gordon in the deal because he is key for them
If Lebron wants to get PAID and go to Houston, they need to trade for him and it will half to include Anderson and either Gordon OR PJ+Nene to work under the cap.
What needs to happen - messing around with the trade machine - and I came within like $200k of getting something done was somehow move salaries to the Rockets - -for Cleveland to take on Ryan Anderson but no other salary that is guaranteed. I got close with
Houston: LeBron and Tyson Chandler
Cleveland: Ryan Anderson and Alan Williams and Tyler Ulis knowing 7m of that is not guaranteed
Suns: PJ Tucker and Eric Gordon and maybe Nene to make the dollars work (f0r the Suns this is 24m out, 24m back in)
like I said - I was pretty close using the ESPN trade machine. Trying to add Daniels for Nene, taking back a small contract, blah blah blah - Morey could figure it out
Now, this not only involves Houston taking on a big salary like Tyson Chandler but it would mean Morey giving the Cavss two first rounders and possibly the Suns chipping in a protected pick to Cleveland too (and for Tucker and Gordon, I might be inclined to give a protected first rounder-- especially if it means moving Dudley and or Chandler) I am sure the Cavs would love the Suns to take back say Korver but probably not happening. Though maybe the TWolves would do Korver for Aldrich - if Twolves want to use Aldrich contract to get an asset.
The CAvs will want the least amount of dollars on the luxury tax as possible - but Anderson has two years left . Its a long shot - but that's how to make this work - give them a boat load of non guaranteed dollars, picks to take Ryan Anderson
