Seems like quite a few other teams can offer more cap relief or better players or a better combination. Once I read that I instantly took the Knicks out of the running in my mind. It's just easier that way. Knicks never come through in situations like this.
It's probably closer than you think
The Knicks are 5th in most cap space right now (and that's including Kanter, not including KOQ's cap hold which is 3 million more), with only the Hawks, Kings, and Suns ahead of us for lotto teams, and those 3 all have a higher pick than Memphis
If you include how much they could potentially open up this summer, the Bulls, Magic, and Mavs are there, but of those 3 only the Bulls could fully absorb Parsons
We could probably make an offer on par with any of those teams, depending on who the Grizzlies would want to trade down for. If it's someone like Mikal who probably has the highest floor out of anyone, there's a good chance he's available at 9, so it really at that point depends on how much they like Lee and Burke
What I'm saying is, I don't know and nobody will for another 12 ish hours
