Trae Young and Kevin Heurter were drafted to be Steph and Klay, but they'll be the worst defensive backcourt in the league even if they both hit on their offensive potential. Really not a fan of the moves Atlanta made.

Oh I'm sure their defense will be bad for a while but funny thing is Young's defense may not be significantly worse than Dennis Schroder who literally rolled out the red carpet for opposing guards.

This draft is about 4-5 years down the road for them. In today's NBA, erring on the side of SKILL is probably a recipe for success. Huerter will be a SF by then. Young will have hopefully added some strength and worked on getting athletic and quicker.

One thing I noticed about both of them - they both start off their shot looking like their shooting an old-fashioned set shot. They don't release it like that, but I think they'll get a lot of shots blocked if they don't adjust their form. Either that, or they'll be shooting 30 footers and pissing off their teammates and fans. Granted, they both have tremendous shooting range.

Huerter maybe, but Young's release is so friggin quick - I don't think it's going to be a big issue for him.

Is Deandre Jordan worth the gamble for Dallas? Does this team even make it to the playoffs in the west?

Code: Select all

Smith      Barea
Matthews   Doncic
Barnes     Finney-Smith
Nowitzki   Powell
Jordon     Kleber

I think Powell and Kleber are kind of underrated (whatever that means, LOL). Still Smith is young and still figuring it out and Doncic, as good as he is, is going to need some time to figure out the NBA. And Barnes, meh.

There's no way Jordan take 19 mil less to go to the Warriors. Right?

Good for OKC being able to keep PG, its a shame they have Melo and no shot for the next 3 years.

And he was getting that State Farm money, too.

Ed Davis, 1 year, $4.4m to the Nets. He was a bargain basement candidate for us.

One year, $15M. Strange that he'd go there but they get some veteran leadership.

Fairly cheap. Not a bad deal.
