Boy.... sound like you need a new team to follow. This one's not nearly as smart as you are.
Don’t be a dick dude.
I took that too far but you've been a veritable ray of sunshine around here. Seems like nothing besides LeBron has met with your approval. This one, to me is a really petty beef. Lopez is not the type of center we need. One of the biggest guys in the league mailing it in on defense and tossing a few 3's isn't what we need. We'll score just fine without him and we may have a center that can get 5 or 6 boards a night to boot. He is the least of our issues.
The offseason isn't over yet. My guess is that we'll fix the holes most of us are seeing. If we wanted him we'd have him is my thought. We didn't want him... it's that simple.
You’ve got to be kidding me... I’m one of the most positive posters on here. I’m quick to defend our young guys, moreso than even you, and I defended the KCP signing. I’m hardly the only person worried about these offseason signings, so let’s not act like I’m on some lone island here.
And yeah, Magic clearly didn’t want him, that’s not in debate. The debate is, whether we should have wanted him. I explained pretty clearly why I’m concerned about what we’re doung. The Lakers were 12th in DRtg last year, and 23rd in ORtg. Their 3 point % was 18% below league average. Ergo, why I said had we been even league average shooting the 3, we would have competed for a playoff spot.
Instead of addressing what was blatantly an issue, Magic has gone complete 180. I think we’re still pretty clearly a playoff team. I think we’ll compete for the 3 seed, (assuming we don’t sign Melo and let him wreck everything).
These signings may very well work out, but it’s hardly out of bounds to be worried about them.
