8 APG next to LeBron and Rondo, with Ingram and a couple others also handling the ball and Magic emphasizing multiple ball handlers? Seems awfully optimistic, just as the 9 RPG under those circumstances. I believe it when I see it.

I meant 9 assists and 8 rebs per game. If Lonzo plays like last year and the team has more shooters with the removal of Lopez, IT, Clarkson, I think Lonzo can easily get 2 more assists per game. All he has to do is pass it to LeBron and let him close.

As for rebs, I expect Lakers to play more small ball and that means Lonzo will be aggressive grabbing rebounds and hitting TD passes to LeBron and others.

The higher shooting % and stronger frame will allow him to play more physical and stay on the floor longer. I expect Lonzo to calm down mentally a lot after the crazy pace as a freshman and get closer to college numbers in 3 point and hit just under 70% from FTs.

I'm more curious to see who y'all think will take a sophomore slump (non-injury).

Malik Monk. New coach and GM this year for the Hornets. He really started to get going in the last month of the season last year with increased minutes and I see him getting a lot more playing time this season.

Team's 3rd or 4th best defender guarding Tatum 1 on 1....Tatum will be a BEAST!

Malik Monk seems to be off the radar for most people, but he's going to get a chance to make a big splash according to Borrego. I'm not sure his defense will ever allow him to be great, but when he gets on a roll he can really fill it up. I expect him to show why he has a place in the league this year.

Fultz is pretty much obvious, if he stays healthy. I think both Fox and DSJ will be more effective in their game, so that might be enough for them to improve their game.

Players like Tatum and Mitchell. From where they would get the improvement? Most likely their role doesn't chance and at least Tatum have to live with Hayward coming back. Tatum was very efficient last year, but it is very unlikely he will repeat it. Mitchell's role stays the same, so for him it's hard to see big leap forward.

Lakers guys Ball and Kuzma. They have LeBron, Rondo and other people. So it means their role is smaller. They might be more efficient in the end of the season, but if you take 20% less shots it's hard to say player have become better. Only one who might get clear improvement in Lakers is Hart, who might get more playing time and being good 3 point shooter he might get lots of those with LeBron.

Markkanen and Jackson. Jackson started to look good, but now they added Ayton, so his role will be smaller. Markkanen's situation is lousier. He and LaVine were awful together. Games where LaVine played his amount of shots were much lower than without. And now LaVine plays full season. Add Parker who also wants same amount of shots as LaVine it means amount of shots Markkanen will get is half from last year or at least will be in beginning of season, so his scoring will drop a lot.

For me it's Adebayo. He only came on strong at the end of last year but seeing him play a little bit this summer he looks so much better already. And he was already really good as a rookie! I think this dude is ready to be a modern day, switch everything, rim defending center and will make Whiteside completely irrelevant.

Fultz, because he barely did anything last year. Simply starting one game would be a huge leap

Those offseason workout videos have me believing... But it'll be interesting to see how the minutes are split amoungst him, Mudiay, and Burke. One of the three will inevitably find themselves buried on the bench or traded.

I went with DSJ and Lonzo. I think within the next 2 seasons DSJ is going to blow up and I think we start seeing the signs this year. Lonzo all he really needs to do is start hitting his 3s at like a 35-36% clip and his game would look drastically better. I think there is a good chance he gets around that 35% mark this year.

Fox is going to be running the show this year in Sacramento. I expect him to look a lot better this year when we open up the floor and let him run.

Cedi should be on this list, he's my pick.

Tatum, Markkanen, Kuzma, and Mitchell are coming into the year at a high level, and in each case there is reason to believe their numbers may not improve even if they are technically playing better.

A couple of the others on the list don't look good enough.

Josh Jackson was great 2nd half of last season. Booker and Ayton get alot of attention, and deservingly so, but don't sleep on JJ
