I'm pretty sure there's a lot of players dealing with issues and getting help instead of being written off as "a headcase" can go a long way. However, I seriously hope that the Nets ownership group are not one of these owners who are sick enough to want access to something like that.

I mean I get why it's wrong and borderline illegal, but they're also paying these guys to be public figures and giving them 10's if not hundreds of millions of dollars.

No they shouldn't get transcripts of therapy sessions and prescription lists and the such, but even in everyday jobs there are instances when employers can expect to get overall evaluations of at risk employees, especially so in high paying, public type of jobs.

It does open an enormous can of worms though.

Then they might as well not even bother because they have been vetting players for years without having to violate HIPAA laws and the players will absolutely not take part of the program if their files start circulating in their team's front office or around league offices. That's insane.

Say Player A takes part of the program and divulges to whoever he is being treated by that he was physically or sexually abused as a child. That information has no business being in the hands of owners.

If Thibs gets the FO to side with Butler, where do you think the Wolves should look for a Thibs prototypical defensive minded traditional center? Hassan Whiteside in Miami? Anyone think Wiggins will be available?

Selling high on Wiggins would be smart

But I think towns and Wiggins like playing with one another I would let them figure it out just like golden state and cut my losses with Butler and see what pieces I can get for him

I think Butler has one foot out the door. Either very credible reporters botched this report multiple times, or he's pulling a power play. It goes from a meeting yesterday in Minny, to Thibs getting on a plane to meet him in LA. What could have been a meeting with multiple people, is now a 1 on 1.

Prediction: The reports of him wanting a bigger market (per NBA radio) are true, and he wants to be traded to wherever he wants to sign next year so that he could get a 5th year on his contract.

Not if today's other rampant twitter rumor that has KD to the Lakers is true.

^^^what stops Butler from teaming up with them too? I'm sure LA can find a way to clear room for 3 maxes.

Irving's probably not going to leave Boston and that extra year on the table, so where is Butler going to go? He wants play for a contender.

Adam Silver might as well go through with that playoff reseeding format because no one will care about the East vs West NBA finals format if you have two super teams in the same goddamn division.

Actually, I think Butler probably ends up in Philly.

I have my doubts, but Stephen A. had also previously stated that Lebron has reached out to KD about signing in LA. I won't dismiss it. I've learned that traditional basketball logic does not apply in free agency anymore.

id put the odds at about 150% that kyrie leaves boston. i seriously doubt he ends up here, but i havent been this sure a free agent would leave a team as i am with kyrie in a long long tme.
