Do you consider it progress that most of the Japanese and US media called Naomi Osaka a Japanese tennis player vs a Black or Black Japanese player?

TBH, I always hated the terms white and black and Brown. I'm part white and refuse to call myself white. If i'm in a hurry i ssimply describe myself as American. If someone actually shows interest I I'm part italian and spanish and native american. But i understand that the score keepers feel the need to keep score as the muster up various statistics. I use the terms for simplicity solely because the score keepers use the terms.

IN regards to the tennis player...I beleive that people identifiy with whatever they want or feel. Same with gender. So its 100% up to her the rest of us should respect that to her in public and in person to her. and she says she is an american that was born in japan and grew up with a japanese mother and Haitian father. Which is what the sports people should recognize.

I dont know if she is just trying to capitalize on her potentially larger fan base??? And if so? so what! that is her right if those groups accept her as one of their own and buy more of her "stuff." Good for her if that happens for her.

In terms of analysis and reality? she has lived in the USA since she was 3. Which makes her as american as any other american on the planet. So i personally am not following the potential distancing of being both black and american or better said african american. And i'm not sure she was distancing herself at all from any anything...seemed like the tennis community was trying to paint her as being japanese. odd.

The oddest thing however was that Serena Williams (my former favorite tennis player of all time male or female) was such a baby over losing or not playing well that she through multiple tantrums while getting her ass handed to her by what was likely her childhood idol. Which always sucks when you put someone on a pedestal and they let you down...in Naomi's case this was beyond a let down...this was as close to a kanye west, "imma let you finish" moment without going all in. When it's someone else's moment just sit down and STFU! If you or someone else was "robbed" of an award or moment the public will rant and whine away for you.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

Your point is what? Please tell me you believe Obama needs to be locked up because he did....

Otherwise this appears to be an illogical post???? No real reasonable person believes Trump is on par with Obama or Bush or Carter or W or any president since Nixon or Clinton when it comes to actual scandal and decency. The only one that might actually have charges brought against them is Trump. If you are so confused that you really are still in trumps corner with all of the illogical racist dog whistles that he blows...then you might have issues that most of the rest of us dont share.

Exactly how does this issue make America great again? Oh I remember it pits white people against the rest of the human race...us vs them...yeah thats what we all want in OUR president. :noway:

Obama realizes that the economy is en fuego right now. Its super nova. This is as good as its gets for our economy. It has not been this good since the early 70's. And Obama just admitted it.

^^^^^^ that's huge!!!!

We cant get a single liberal poster to admit here in these pages. and instead all they talk about is "wage growth." Which also experienced its biggest increase in 10 years. And is on pace to increase for the 2nd year in a row at its highest rate also since 2008 (the year before Obama).

In short. Obama spent 8 years apologizing to the rest of the world about america's past performance and actions. As if we have not been the most responsible country to ever exist with the kind fo power that we have. NO ONE has ever been as responsible to the entire world community as the USA has been over the past 150 years. NO ONE. And its not close. And out native people were also equally responible and peaceful and lived harmoniously with the environment.

Obama didn't see it that way. He went on an almost 8 year apology tour for America being so awful. And even worse he often apologized to americans about our crappy economy under his leadership and said things like we should accept 2% GDP!! We should accept jobs moving overseas!! We should accept losing manufacturing jobs!!

And Obama enacted tons of legislation to accomplish these goals. Global corporations began to flourish under Clinton and Bush and took off under Obama especially relative to our own growth. China has seen years in the 20% range.

Why!!! Why write regulation and legislation into law that harms our ability to produce in the USA?? Why??? So global corporation can make more money by paying slave wages overseas??? Why??? Who does that help besides the billionaire and Obama himself when those billionaire donate to his foundation and campaign?? Why??? I mean i know damn well "why."

It's disgusting. It should be treason. But the liberal media is in on it. they are owned by mostly global corporations that ship goods from overseas to the USA. Rockefellors own NBC and massive oil reserves as well as 1/4 of the federal reserve itself and Bank of "america." <--what a joke. Bezos owns amazon and the washington post.

Why would they go after Obama!!!!???? They are owned by globalist billionaires!! They want manufacturing overseas.

Soros wants manufacturing destroyed in the USA<-- he makes money shipping amazon's good from china to the USA. Duh!!

Everybody gets it and nobody cares. Democrats want this type of policy. Why??? I have no effing clue! They must hate their neighbors that much. They would prefer to line Bezos's pockets and soros's pocket as they save a few bucks on a new TV. Which must be some kind of horrible joke! But its not. The entire left is entirely caught up in the culture of shipping manufacturing overseas so billionaires like bezos can make more money. Weird! And politicians like obama are writing legislations and regulations to encourage.

And Obama tried to sell it to american as the "new norm" where are GDP is 2% and UE is 7%. And black UE hit 17.3% for multiple quarters under Obama. <--he called it the new norm!! Americans should get used to it!!!

How about this...how about we instead deregulate. increase tariffs on goods coming in. and force corporations to open manufactring back up in the US and we keep illagal immigrants from entering our country and we put our desperate and disillusioned americans back to work!!?? How about that instead??

^^and yeah, i would love to throw ever single globalist politician in jail and throw away the key. Enough is enough!!
like i said, its a full rebuild.

How abort just supporting is term limits.

1. 8 years total in congress either branch. 4 year terms for both houses.
2. 4 years total as political appointee.
3. illegal to lobby(in any way shape or form) in any 10 year period (both directly prior and directly after) any position in congress or being any type of appointee.
4. (1) 6 year term as president.
5. 14 years maximum as member of congress and president (VP)
6. 10 years for Supreme court
7. 10 years for lower courts. (20 years total as any kind of judge).
8. similar restrictions to states.

Only thing that we have ever mostly agreed on....the Supreme Court thing is SCARY AS HELL! Lifetime appointments are INSANE!?!?!?! Someone could go senile and it would be tough to remove them....

It is kinda weird; the 2 accounting firms I've worked for have mandatory retirement ages for partners at 70 (because presumably it's not uncommon to lose your faculties around that age), yet Justices of the SCOTUS can and do serve till much much older and have much much more important jobs.

Terrific - we agree that the voter suppression efforts are stupid and a waste of resources. We agree that crime is falling over the last two decades.

Your issue is neither of these - it is an state vote allocation issue. Fine. Debate and work on that not the other incredibly stupid things that the Rs are targeting. BTW, why are there so many illegal aliens in California? Because the Rs of the past needed them for farming purposes (and still do).

So, in short the Rs are misaligning resources to needs and need to solve a problem they created.

Same way with war on crime. "I am offering legislation to attack this problem" - even though the problem is diminishing.

Or another way to look at this:

197 million votes cast for federal candidates between 2002 and 2005, only 40 voters were indicted for voter fraud, according to a Department of Justice study outlined during a 2006 Congressional hearing. Only 26 of those cases, or about .00000013 percent of the votes cast, resulted in convictions or guilty pleas.

We should really throw some resources at this HUGE problem.

And we should TOTAL ignore this reality - the dramatic decline in crime nationwide over the past two decades.

counting illegal aliens the same as citizen (counting them at all) when dividing up congressional districts is just as bad if not worse!!!!!! probably worse because not every citizen votes...but basically gifting districts with high amounts of illegal immigrants what is essentially more representation is just as appalling. We need to count citizens not general population numbers.

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) says the counting of illegal aliens when dividing up congressional seats and electoral college votes is a violation of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Brooks, along with the state of Alabama, are suing the federal government for their counting of illegal aliens, rather than citizens, in congressional apportionment and the dividing up of electoral college votes.

We’re probably in the neighborhood of about 15 million illegal aliens in America now. 15 million comes out to roughly 20 congressional seats and 20 electoral college votes. Each congressional seat has roughly 700,000 to 800,000 people in it. [Emphasis added]

So, if you count illegal aliens in the Census for the purposes of distributing political power, that’s the number of congressmen per state or … the number of electoral college votes per state, you’re talking about … 20 electoral college votes and congressmen that are taken from states that follow our laws, that help our border patrol agents, and help our ICE agents … shifting those 20 congressional seats and 20 electoral college seats to states like California that have large numbers of illegal aliens in them. [Emphasis added]

I personally believe that’s wrong, on a policy level, but I also believe it violates the Equal Protection clause of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution because it dilutes the voting power of citizens who live in states that don’t harbor an enormous number of illegal aliens. [Emphasis added]

Don't worry, one of increased inflation, an expanding deficit or flat/declining real wages will solve the problem somehow, I'm sure.

ugh...looks like a whole whopping 60 billion from Q1 2016. :o :o :o yeah that's it.

but now we will see if even that holds up. receipts are trending up and in fact Q2 2018 was the highest 2nd Q ever...for EVER EVER...yes!! for ever ever in terms gross tax revenue.

tariffs alone might cover that 60 billion. But we shall see. If not? Cut SS and Medicaid!!!  And HUD   Then cut the guaranteed student loans programs.
like i said, its a full rebuild.
