Must be the OKC arena that is his kryptonite, he even shot worse at home (40/33) than on the road (41/38) last year, that must be it

The Rockets are dead last in assists, they are the antithesis of ball movement.

His point was that he thinks Melo is so great he should keep shooting even if he is 0 of 25. If you are still confident after going 0 of 25 then there's something wrong with you. You are deluded. Like those singers who get told by their mum that they are good singers then go on one of those talent shows only for the world to make fun of them.

No that wasn't his point. He said Melo has the confidence to keep shooting after going 0 for 8, but the average player would stop shooting all together. Melo is a former all-star, so his confidence is based on past success.

Yes it was his point. He said Melo is so great he should keep shooting even if he was 0 of 25. He's like a parent who thinks his son is better than he really is.
Melo even at 0 of 8 knows he's not great anymore. He said as much in a pre game interview with Ros Gold Onwude that during his season with OKC last year he had a lot more time to himself to realise he isn't the player that he used to be and that he's learned to accept it.

I’m telling you the pattern so far has been that when he plays well the rockets win, when he doesn’t, they lose. Tonight was no exception.

So Billy Donovan needs to be fired or what? Seven straight wins and all of a sudden the first week hot takes falling away.

Raps had like 21 - 4 disadvantage to Utah the other night in the first half.

sometimes I think the Refs brains just break.

Depends on how the teams are playing though. I’ve said before and even if it is against the team I’m rooting for, there’s no rule that FTA’s must be close in a game, and there are times that they really shouldn’t be close. Clippers shot 33 to 19 FTA vs Orlando and 43 to 32 vs OKC, but then 13 to 28 vs Washington, but there were reasons for those differences and it wasn’t just refs being wild or something.

Giannis isn't guarding Durant. Lebron doesn't guard the best player. Harden doesn't guard the best player. And yet Curry is the one who gets criticised for being "hidden" on defence. Hmm yeah, that's fair.

SGA should have 3 blocks. Instead he's got credit for 1.

Webber was talking about Melo's confidence in comparison to a player who never had his type of success. Webber never said Melo was still a good player. Webber was basically saying Melo is the type of player to go 0 for 25 after going 0 for 8 because he "was" so good. Was is past tense.

SGA finally showing aggression I wanna see. Shooting more, yelling at his teammates who are out of position. This is YOUR team if you want it baby!
