You authoritatively tell me that Andre is good because he has made two all-star teams. That's pretty silly. His downsides should be known to you now, but I see you would rather just reduce the situation to a nonsensical sort of simplicity. Andre was not very good in his first all-star year. Meh offense, horrible defense. He made it on his stats and his reputation. He did not genuinely make the all-star team last year. He got in after two guys dropped out. He had his best season, and that meant meh offense and meh defense.
how this team is crap(they are 8-6 when the team is learning to play together and has a new coach and system)
Again with the simplicity. Incredibly easy schedule, and the roster problems are extremely easy to discern if you'd care to try. I don't think you care to try.
and your general overall terrible attitude of the team.
i.e. the fact that I think that the Pistons have a mediocre roster and have been badly managed for a long time. That's much more fact than attitude, but you're free to characterize it as you wish.
With that said, yes it would be a gamble on Wall but not because of compatibility issues.
OK, so compatibility does not play a part in your fantasy of the NBA. So be it.
Its because Wall is not a great shooter(although career .327 from 3 isn't horrid and hes had some decent years) and the teams 2/3 would still be hodgepodge even after adding Wall.
Wall being a bad shooter is part of the awful compatibility. But he also has a really really bad contract.
IF this team had two 40%+ three point shooters at the 2/3 the team would be absolutely fearsome. (Bullock is there, starting kennard would do it)
It's pretty funny how you confidently state opinion as if it's deified truth. Wall and Griffin could not play together, Griffin and Drummond already do not fit well together.
Wall is an excellent distributor, gets to the free throw line consistently, and would help defensively on the perimeter.
And would give maybe half of his contract value to the Pistons. Or less.
A lineup of;
Wall
Kennard
Bullock
Griffin
Andre
Is damn good. Wall would have to adjust his game to Casey for sure as hes ball dominate like Jackson but it COULD work out beautifully. That would be 3 all-stars in the starting lineup, and two 40%+ three point shooters who would have a ton of open shots.
Tell fans elsewhere in the NBA that and prepare to be laughed at. Maybe you'll get some agrees from amateurs who don't understand fit, only look at individual talent, and aren't familiar with the individual players. Either way, don't mention the total lack of supporting cast.
