Vivek is, at least as far as basketball, a clown - but the rumor is that the assistant GM is the source for the story about firing Joerger.

Bagley put up a double double last night and they beat the Thunder, jfc.

All I know is that a straight up trade for Kyrie works... the trade checker shows 48.4 mill...4 years.. Kyrie 50.2mill or something like that ....1 year....Certainly Kyrie wont sign for that number....just sayin...and just comparing...

Never professed to understand it all.....Bet your boots he won't sign for John Wall money.....either way....

Looks like either Ernie or Scotty are going soon.

There was also some rumors about a Dec timeline for a trade due to player restrictions. Any chance we could get Beal out of this fire sale?

Is the problem Beal, Wall, both, or are they both fine personality-wise but toxic in combination?

I'm watching the Wiz and its really really weird tonight. The coach made a statement before the game that they showed, the players had a meeting with the coach, the players had their own meeting, they are playing at home against the Clips and are losing by 20+. They moved Morris out of the starting lineup and put in Oubre. He did not look good. I'm not sure what exactly is wrong with this team, but these guys clearly do not like each other.

If you're not familiar with the Wiz broadcast team you are missing two very good ones. When you watch them all the time you can tell that they not only know their stuff but also the team. And they have not been holding back this season on this team. They make very good observations and will criticize this team nearly every night. Its refreshing.

I don't think they've ever meshed well and will probably flourish when they get separated (soon). I have always liked Wall's game when he has players around him that he trusts. He drives and dishes, he runs a great fastbreak and can get by anyone off the dribble still. Beal is a guy that needs the ball and if has it then Wall doesn't and he has no purpose in the offense. They are a poor man's Harden/Westbrook.

FYSA: We have won 19 of our last 22 games vs the Sixers, including wrecking you in 5 games in the playoffs last year without two All-Stars.

Not sure about flourishing, but that’s my impression, too. They’re both pretty good players who aren’t good enough to carry a team by themselves and are too evenly matched for one to beat out the other as team leader. Wall wants to pound the ball like Rondo and quarterback an offense - Beal wants to freelance in an offense based on ball movement. It’s tough to imagine either of them landing on a team where they get what they want.

I think their tension could be managed if they were winning, and the underlying problem is Grunfeld - the backcourt has always underwhelmed, and he’d never been able to put substantial talent around them - only band-aids - Pierce, Gortat, Porter - who have postponed an overhaul without obviating one.

Teams who could use Beal and offer mediocre packages:

Charlotte
Dallas (a Harrison Barnes swap)
maybe Indiana
New Orleans (Moore/Mirotic)
maybe Utah
OKC could offer Schroeder/Roberson

And I want Smart to retire a Celtic and think Jaylen is going to snap out of his slump and show some growth - but Smart/Jaylen/filler for Beal fits Danny’s m.o. - Beal is a “star”, about the same age as Kyrie, he’d help our scoring, and we’d have great perimeter shooting with Irving-Beal-Hayward. I wouldn’t advocate for that trade, but I also wouldn’t be surprised by it.

Typical 76ers fan.

I didn't say that our team was better than yours AT THE MOMENT. This is the "around the NBA" thread, we are talking about others teams. If you want to know what we think about our actually (bad) team, see others threads.

But your team is still going nowhere.
Embiid against was 0-5 from 3 last night + 6 turnovers. This guy is unstoppable inside the paint, but he is always behind the 3pts line  . Shooting 46% FG and 31% from 3... This guy should be inside drawing fouls and shooting 60%. Maybe he could take 1 or 2 threes/game, but not 4,4 attemps !

See ya in the playoffs...

Dear Sixers fans,

4-1. Without Kyrie and Hayward.

Take the L.
And without Butler, who is better than both.

We didn’t want him and you’ll figure out why in a few months. Enjoy paying him a max or watching him walk.
