This was one of the more winnable games for them though imo, but anything can happen in a course of a game.
I called this. I said it after the Pistons game. We're a playoff team, we're deep in depth. But it's going to be like this, win a thriller, lose a thriller, beat great teams, lose a back to back. We're going to be around 6-8 if we stay healthy and consistent.
We're deep, and for once I wish Kenny goes back to last year and rest the vets on b2b. At least see if they have their legs and if they don't, quick pull.
Kurucs could have given us some energy out there over Dudley/ Carroll. Honestly I wouldn't be opposed to Faried/Davis especially when we aren't shooting well on b2b.
Who cares about floor spacing if we're bricking jumper after jumper?
Let Faried/Davis crash the crap out of the boards.

Floor spacing matters even if players are missing jumpers, especially with this team. This team, without LeVert, struggles mightily driving by opposing players and getting separation. The only guy that currently can do it right now is Dinwiddie, but even he seems to be in a little funk at the moment. Having floor spacing clears up the driving lanes, cutting lanes, and gives them more room to operate, regardless if the shooters are making shots or not. The opposing team has to respect the the ability of people like Crabbe/Dudley/Carroll, who have been inconsistent all season, but have shown the ability in their careers to make those shots.
Look at the Rockets earlier in the year. When MCW played the short period he did, teams didn't care to guard him because he can't do anything offensively. The guy defending MCW would just abandon him and double the ball handler or make it harder to drive. Even this year with the Nets, when RHJ is on the court as a PF and Allen or Davis is the center, multiple teams aren't guarding RHJ and let him sit on the perimeter because they know he's not a threat to shoot and it makes it harder for the Nets.
There's some moments were the Nets would be justified in playing bigger lineups, but to abandon floor spacing when shots aren't falling is foolish.
