We DO NOT need to be paying Wall $40+ million a year when hes already injury prone, and somewhat declining. He couldn't take his current team anywhere what makes anyone think an older versionRickB-Orlando wrote:tiderulz wrote:OrlandO wrote:Don't act like the alternative is automatically better.
you could get 2 $20mil players for the cost of Wall. i just couldnt pay all that money to Wall.
If he's healthy (admittedly a big if) what two $20M players are you planning to sign that will have more impact?
A few years ago Wall was the prototypical point guard of the future, now he's the cause of Washington's problems?
Orlando needs a name player and alpha scorer, a leader on the court. We constantly talk about lying in wait for a star that comes available for trade, yet when it has happened in the pas couple of years (Irving and Butler coe to mind) all the arguments suddenly circle around *not* trading for that star. If they're available, they're likely to have some warts - the question is, does their star power and talent overcome those warts?
I'd much rather see a deal for Beal, but Wall is being dismissed awfully quickly by people.
Is going to be any different with our team?
