Very good trade. Legit backup point guard and a big that can step out and hit the three. Dekker would’ve been cool for the state connection but eh, not much beyond that.

Just went through the last 15 pages. I would like to inform everyone we got George Hill for the 2018 and 2019 season.

Didn't vote on the letter grade until I can see what we do with the salary flexibility. Give it an incomplete for now. George Hill is a nice player but he's really lost a lot the past two years. Jason Smith is terrible.
This whole trade is all about what they do before the trade deadline and then next July.

Hou traded off Andersons contract for knights corpse. Getting a useful player now is helpful not only on the floor but at the deadline. Butler might be in hou if they had a useful player and not knightpaulpressey25 wrote:Didn't vote on the letter grade until I can see what we do with the salary flexibility. Hill gives you the flexibility to trade Brogdon. At least for this season. A Brogdon/Middleton package can now go on the market if they so desired to do so.
You could at least talk about that pairing for Beal and not have WA hang the phone up.
ETA: Went to the trade machine and put in some combinations. It actually is really hard to make a trade of Middleton and Brogdon for Beal work. Even adding Thon and DJ doesn't send out enough salary. And if you added Snell, then we'd be crazy weak at SF.

Yeah, that's the problem adding Snell.

How could Washinton say no to a trade sending out a cost controlled Beal for two free agents that would walk?

You just need to give them their 2nd back and then awkwardly sell them on how high that pick will be.

Here it says that protection are removed from 2020 WAS 2nd and Bucks are getting also CLE 2021 2nd. That said we cleared Henson and Delly with our 2021 1st and ended up swaping our 2021 2nds with CLE (which will be a better pick for the Bucks). Right?

Yeah, I would not trade Dekker that quick. I think having Dekker could make Ersan tradeable. Anyway, so happy I won't see Henson smiles when we are down 5 and 5 seconds left. This dude just stole multiple millions from Bucks Org and the check should be sent to freaking Hammond .... eh he drafted Giannis, I guess all are forgiven.

Really nice trade by Horsty. Freed up cap space by getting rid of two awful contracts and even managed to get useful players in return. Hill will really help when Brogdon is struggling. And Jason Smith should ensure that Thon never sees the court again. That's huge because Thon is probably the worst player in the NBA.

I'll never forget you, John. One of my most memorable experiences was during the tank year. Miserable team, down big in the third quarter to the Klove and KMartin wolves, and it just happens to be John henson's birthday (which the bucks didn't even acknowledge during the game lol). I got scolded by the "security" for trying to stand up and start singing happy birthday to him. Reporting and complaining about that got me free tickets lol. Thanks John, and Happy birthday.

Once again, paying to get out of your own bad contracts shouldn't be celebrated. Horst was Hammond's protege, it's not like his hands are clean here.
Blaming Horst for things Hammond did is dumb.
PP25 was on spot about evaluating Horst. We created space to do what ? If he did it to resign Khris on 35M per than as Greeks say "He tried to make a hole in the water"...

Re: Delly, Henson, 1st/2nd and Rodzilla for Hill/Dekker - Dekker to Wiz For Smith/Second POLL ADDED
This trade for me really has 2 parts, the players / team for this year and of course more so this offseason.
The main driver of this was definitely this offseason and cap flexibility. What we do with that flexibility will ultimately determine whether or not this was a good trade or not. Paying a late first to get rid of these guys sucks but we knew that was the price.
The more important part for me, right now, is how will these players help us win games?
Hill looks like he may still have something left in the tank at least offensively. I think he can run the offense a little and hopefully be a good addition shooting the 3 ball for us. We need the help on that front. He seems like a good fit outside of his defense.
Smith looks to be a smarter acquisition over Dekker as we really take a bit of a hit with no Henson and more Maker. Insurance and a little shooting at C for us.

Haven’t read much of this thread since the 2nd move for Smith. His peak years are similar to Mike Muscala. I’m guessing Bud tries to unlock that again.

They won't, it's just a salary dump. Paying for past mistakes with draft picks.
Personally I'd rather the billionaires would man up and pay the tax. But I don't understand the CBA (and not interested to understand it) so maybe it wasn't possible.
