Owners who aren't as rich as Ballmer needs new arenas, especially if the current arena is old. That is the case with the Warriors. Their owners don't have deep pockets and they see the new arena not only for higher basketball revenues but non sporting events such as concerts.
I would assume the concern venue market in LA is very competitive though.
It's a competitive market but it's such a large market that I could see them getting some overflow concerts.
You'll also see lots of other non-concert events at the Clipper arena. Boxing, MMA, WWE, college basketball, maybe get the Sparks to move since this arena will be better suited for basketball, local HS basketball championships, conventions & HS graduations may all take place there.
