Brandon Knight and KCP
trade Reggie to Phoenix, Ariza to Lakers, KCP to pistons.
trade leuer and galloway to Houston for Knight
Give former piston draftees a chance to rehab and develop under a coach like Casey.
This trade is win win. Reggie needs to be out. Kcp is expiring and is still young enough to breakout in the right environment for himself. Give Knight a chance to rehab himself with the team that drafted him. I loved both these guys when we had them. Piston dna until Kcp let lebron’s boy get in his ear. He needs to humble himself and get back to his roots. Casey can bring something out of him.

Re: Brandon Knight and KCP
How about Reggie for Knight. I don't think we need KCP here - not to mention Ariza and KCP are expirings so we'd have to add a FRP in that deal. Kennard, Bullock, Galloway, Thomas, Brown - we have enough 2-guards.
I wouldn't be opposed to Jackson for Knight though. Would allow them to trade Gordon who seems to be a bit of a malcontent there now with his role - to get wing depth they desire.

Why you have to remind me we wasted 2 lotto picks in those terrible players? No we should not want them back, they're just terrible players, the thrash we have right now is not as bad as them. Reggie Jackson at least have more assists than TO, unlike Knight when he was healthy, and KCP can't shoot and he talked a lot of **** when he left.

Re: Brandon Knight and KCP
I was already thinking of trying to do that 3 team trade to dump Reggie but Phoenix would want a asset to get it done taking on a extra year. Enter Stanley Johnson who played college out there as well and I doubt we want to pay at the end of the year anyways.
Pistons get- KCP (expiring)
Suns get- Reggie and SJ
Lakers get- Ariza
Would need to find a capable PG for the rest of the year but would love to turn Reggie’s deal I to a expiring then work on trying to move Leuer and Galloway before FA.

If we can trade RJ for expirings, then sure. I can't see that happening though. We definitely shouldn't be including picks in salary dumps.

There is no chance we take KCP over Ariza. If Phoenix is fine doing Reggie and SJ for Ariza we just keep Ariza.

Re: Brandon Knight and KCP
KCP has a no-trade clause as well and Rich Paul will only move him to a team where he's getting at least heavy rotation minutes. Kentavious is probably looking at a full MLE deal at most this coming season. He made 30M over the last two, so probably equal to what he would have made by signing here, but if he only gets a MLE deal the next three he's lost probably over 15M.
He won't come here to time share with Kennard, Bullock, Galloway, Brown and Thomas. And he won't swallow pride to come here and have it pointed out how much he screwed up by not taking his RFA offer from Overpay Stan.

We should try to get better players than those 2 guys.

I don't see them having any interest in RJ. I'd definitely be willing to trade for Knight though. From what I read they were looking for help on the wings and were willing to include at least 1 FRP to dump Knight's salary. This works for us as we are not going to have many ways to add depth this offseason and we are going to need a backup guard anyway. We could even include PHX in the deal.
Pistons In: Knight, Rockets 1st rounder
Pistons Out: Bullock, Jackson
Suns In: Jackson, Rockets 2nd rounder
Suns Out: Ariza
Rockets In: Ariza, Bullock
Rockets Out: Knight, 1st, 2nd
Save us a few million in salary for this year and next year too.

Phoenix is still young and trying to get better, I doubt they would do Ariza for RJ but they MIGHT do Ariza for RJ + Stanley.
As good as Stanley has breifly looked this season since going to the bench, that's probably a deal we shouldn't pass on.
Although, I do think Ariza and Blake have some bad blood from last year after CP joined the Rockets.

Reportedly, a Trevor Ariza deal has been agreed to (he's out of their lineup tonight) they just have to wait for the 15th when he can officially be traded.

Lakers and mystery 3rd team. I think it's Minnesota. KCP makes a ton of sense there, and they have an extra point guard. Others think it's KCP and Milwaukee FRP going to Philly and Fultz going to PHX.

Probably Ariza to the lakers, KCP to Philly and Fultz to Phoenix with picks involved.

Because Ish and Bullock are expiring and Houston is reportedly willing to add a pick or two to a deal that includes Knight. We get a backup guard, another deal that expires at the same time as RJ/Galloway/Leuer (making approx 50 million in expirings) and get extra pick(s). there's nothing idiotic about the idea at all.
