Atlanta needed Pg, because Schroder was gone even before the draft and GM wanted to repeat Warriors story anyway. Only Memphis could have maybe taken Bagley, but it has looked like they were very satisfied with JJJ. Magic had Doncic and then Trae in their list. Bagley could have easily felt to 7-8. Not necessarily of course. But being second in this draft was very good position for getting something extra. Bagley is o.k for sure, but ...

Dude. For real? First off, we dont know if Dallas called Sacramento and talked trade. And from all reports coming out Sacramento was locked in to Bagley as the pick. Many, MANY mocks had Bagley going 2nd. Nbadraft.net, CBS sports, Yahoo to name a few. Bagley wouldn't have fallen to 7 or 8, that's nonsense. The only reason those other teams had who they had on their board is because THEY ALL KNEW BAGLEY WOULD BE OFF THE BOARD. Do you understand yet? The Kings couldnt trade down BECAUSE SOMEBODY ELSE WOULD SAY OH LOOK WHAT I FOUND and Bagley would have been gone. And Bagley has not just been OK lol. Look at his numbers. Look at his impact. Look at his per 36. The Kings are still bringing him along slowly like they did with Fox last year. I heard everyone say the same **** about Fox. Look at him now. I'm listening to you all say the same **** about Bagley. You want that crow medium rare or well done?

Why are you so angry though?

This years draft was full of confusion and weird player choices afterwards. I'm not saying teams drafted bad but at least in top5 there were a lot of different scenarios floating around that made much more sense.... Even if you look at the top3 picks. Divac/Vivek visited Doncic multiple times, it was reported that Suns owner was at the final 4 euroleague tournament also watching Luka and he wanted him. MEM were basically the only team who we knew that they would take JJJ, others were up in the air. It's funny to look back how things turned out... I mean even Doncic thought he would go to Kings, there was no 100% certainty that Bagley was a lock for 2. It was only after that, now famous meme, that Bagley can jump fast 2 TIMES IN A ROW, when people started believing that they will draft him. You can argue that at least 3 teams made a bad choice after a bad choice but it is what it is. And lucky for those teams, all players play good enough to make us believe that they can turn out to be something really good in the future.
Stupidity really annoys me. I'm not mad tho. Just trying to make a point demonstrably.
Bob8 has posted in one thread and one thread religiously. This one. Putting up Doncic and putting down anyone else. Last year in this thread it was fans of Mitchell mad that Simmons was given rookie eligibility and passive aggressively taking shots at that and there were Lonzo Ball fans actively taking shots at the other pgs taken in the draft.
This thread is always one of the more heated threads because people spew garbage takes to put down other rookies in pursuit of making their case for their favorite rookie. I just think its pathetic to blatantly make crap up so you can make your case for your rookie (not you you, generalized you).
People really are still talking bad about Bagley and honestly he has been the best #2 pick in the past like 7 or 8 years. He has been really really good. Shoots a high percentage. Grabs a ton of boards. Looks fluid on offense. Gives effort on defense. He is not a finished product, or even close to it. I'm just sick of the narrative that in order to talk good about "your guy" you need to make up some bull about "the other guy".
