13 tonight in just 25 minutes of play and for the season is 14 rebounds per 40 (which is really good). He has a lot of work to do with boxing out though.
The problem is that college basketball just doesn't provide the environment where you can accurately prognosticate how these players will translate in the NBA. I remember when Harold Minor was the next MJ.
Zion does look freakish. No doubt about it.
Its like that for any league though. How many "the next Dirks" or hell Bender was even called "the next KP". Drafting is still far from a science.
Im still holding off on putting Zion in the AD/KD/Oden level of prospect. I want to see more games against better competition. But as of right now, I cant recall a freshman that has looked this dominant in their first 12 games or so. And ya hes undersized for the 4, but the athleticism is truly freakish. If there is going to be the next Shaq/Giannis or whatever name you want to throw out for a guy that is just so physically different than everyone else, you just cant stop him. I think Zion is a safe bet right now.
