13 tonight in just 25 minutes of play and for the season is 14 rebounds per 40 (which is really good). He has a lot of work to do with boxing out though.

The problem is that college basketball just doesn't provide the environment where you can accurately prognosticate how these players will translate in the NBA. I remember when Harold Minor was the next MJ.

Zion does look freakish. No doubt about it.

Its like that for any league though. How many "the next Dirks" or hell Bender was even called "the next KP". Drafting is still far from a science.

Im still holding off on putting Zion in the AD/KD/Oden level of prospect. I want to see more games against better competition. But as of right now, I cant recall a freshman that has looked this dominant in their first 12 games or so. And ya hes undersized for the 4, but the athleticism is truly freakish. If there is going to be the next Shaq/Giannis or whatever name you want to throw out for a guy that is just so physically different than everyone else, you just cant stop him. I think Zion is a safe bet right now.

If we miss on #1 but have a top 3-5 pick, I'm not trading KP for Zion.

That’s what it will come down to, does the FO view Zion as some transcendental talent that you get by any means or do they view it calmly and just select who falls in their lap regarding a 3-5 pick?

I think the FO will go through 3 stages in the possibility we get a top 3/5 pick:

1. Try to package the pick with Frank, next year's pick & anybody outside of KP.

2. Kick the tires on if team with #1 pick will take KP without anything else.

3. Decide to just take whoever lands & dream when Zion becomes a free agent.

Trading KP for Zion basically ensures that you guys will just keep repeating what you guys have been doing. Say you guys land the 3rd pick, I would make everything available except for KP to trade up to get the #1 spot.

Zion is just different. Look what he has done for college basketball. I mean when Duke has a game against a ranked team, you go to the page that lists all the team boards and it is like half of the team boards last posts is a draft or college basketball thread. He is must see TV.

You add that in the NY market and you add KP as well. I think the Knicks automatically become much more attractive for free agents. You got two young studs that both appear to have games that are friendly for other stars. You also have the biggest market in the world rejuvenated to levels we havent seen in a long time. Ya I think there is a good chance you guys could start landing legit talent.

This is why we need the lotto gods to do us a solid...

Frank | Mudiay
Timmy | Trier
Knox | Dotson
Zion | Vonleh
KP | Robinson

You would have your number 1 and 2 guy already ...that is the legit talent right there , the rest is icing that will kill to be part of the resurgence at MSG. Just imagine us thrashing the teams where the front running bandwagon FA's turned their noses up at us. Imagine when ESPN will be forced to put respect back on the Knicks name. I would just love that.

Yup. KP and Zion in MSG would basically become must watch TV every game. And again say you guys land him, I bet there will be some free agents this summer that will go, okay let me think again about the Knicks. Cause again those are star friendly players. Neither are these ball dominant players. The buzz around the Knicks would be back, that is a powerful tool in free agency.

So ya if you guys get anywhere near that 1st round pick, I would call the team sitting at #1 and say, take whoever you want and how many picks you want.

I just hope Dolan isn’t watching Duke. It would be such a next-level Dolan move to trade Knox + two future firsts to move up one spot for Zion

You’d trade four #1 picks for Zion (in a heartbeat)? Have you considered GM’ing the Knicks? Send your resume to Jim Dolan.

I'm really high on Ja Morant, but I would definitely swap the 2019 1st round picks and give up a future 1st round pick + Knox + Nilikina + Robinson + Dotson for Zion. I believe we have the assets to get it done, but is it too much for Zion?

When has gutting a team every worked out for any team in any sport? With our track record we need to be very careful. Without our first round picks it would be hard to restock and put talent around Zion and KP.

KP keep getting disrespected. He came In the league beasting and happened to get hurt. History has shown not to doubt this kid. This kid got drafted to the nba and started for the New York Knicks off bat. Shut up all three haters after getting boo’d. Y’all think a little Injury gunna derail this man? I have no doubt he will be back better than ever. Notice he’s been staying away from press and media. Mf is working hard.

Mentioned by others, but Zion is a star level (or star in the making) player who is very mindful of his teammates etc.

Besides his obvious massive talent that is a big reason I hope he winds up on the Knicks.

So he’s not just some chuck? He knows how to play basketball. Perfect fit next to Kp.

Also love how slick him an RJ are. If they draft me I would love to play for them. They said the right thing.
