Nothing personal.

I just happen to think the true definition of run pass option is different than you do apparently.

To me, there are only two options. 1. Hand off. 2. Pass.

Any scenario where a QB can or does run the ball isn't a RPO anymore. Perhaps that's semantics, but that's how it's always been explained.

ucf.rivals.com site is listing us as having 22 commitments signed. How many more people can we sign before next season starts?

NFL teams don’t use the QB as a runner like college teams do.
College teams often have a simpler way to punish good man coverage that requires less skill and chemistry: They just run the QB.College teams love to mess up a linebacker’s reads. Gaining a numbers advantage by deploying QB run schemes and giving him an RPO is perhaps the deadliest way to do it....
The Eagles often made good use of this when Carson Wentz was taking snaps. Then Wentz got hurt, which shows why NFL teams don’t like to rely on QB runs.

https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2018/2/12/17003364/rpo-run-pass-options-nfl-college-rules

so, the QB run is a part of RPO, just not in vogue in the NFL, more in college.

UCF has 19 guys signed. They have additional commitments who have not signed yet, but 19 total signed as of now.

So 6 spots available.

I’m guessing they’ll bring on at least one and maybe 2-3 transfers with one of those being a QB.

The rest will be OL/DL/secondary.

LOL@USF.

It was an ugly performance for sure.

I believe they just became the first team in NCAA history to finish 7-6 after starting a season 7-0.

So Charlie ended up having a record breaking team after all.

I’m just hoping they don’t fire Strong and keep him around a few more years.

And they only had 14,000 people in the stands for what amounts to a home game. Ouch.

Nice man when you leaving? I’m heading out the 29th flying into flagstaff and heading to Sedona for a couple of days. Flying back that night after the game 11pm flight

USF will always have a issue unless they get their own football stadium on their campus. They probably have some type of issue getting it built on their campus.

We get in on the 31st and leave on the second with a couple day layover in Denver before headed home.

I’m not all that excited for Phoenix aside from the game.

Weather forecast says low is 18 when we get in. We wished it was the peach bowl again. CFP did this on purpose to keep us from making it a home game like we did with the Peach Bowl. Hopefully if we win this game there will be a lot more buzz about either expansion of playoffs or expansion of conferences. Also got season tickets for next year. I don’t see anyone really stopping us from going to maybe a one loss season next year possibly even another undefeated.

Apparently there were grade concerns which is why he signed later, but sounds like what he needs to do is within reach. Another big guy for the OL is always great.

AAC teams are definitely NOT showing out in their bowl games so far.

On a somewhat related note, I read where Strong was dismissing 11 players and 4 assistants after their loss. Is that general house cleaning or is there some story to that?

Houston is getting blown out by Army, They don't deserve to get into a p5 conference getting blown out by them.
