Sound familiar?

They’re not playing Ryan Anderson, an offense only big who has no future with the team. Sound familiar?

Knicks aren't playing Courtney Lee either

Suns traded away Ariza

Even with a youth movement teams still have older guys in their rotation. Jamal Crawford might look young, but dude is close to 40 and still get burn in Phx. Ariza was in the starting lineup for every game he played before he got traded.

Vince Carter still plays on a rebuilding team too.

Only folks who saw PT tonight. I hope they keep it up. Play the kids, live with the results.

Booker has been great lately, though the 3PT shooting is still weak.

29.8 PPG 8.0 APG 5.0 RPG 46% FG since coming back from injury.

I heard they’re accepting fans over there in Phoenix.

Play the kids but 25 year old Richaun Holmes is getting PT while their 21 year old 4th overall pick Dragan Bender is collecting DNPs

Sound familiar?

Holmes can be a part of the crew over there.

True, you simply can’t have damn near half the roster being old asses.

I don’t view that as a youth movement.

Smart rebuilding franchises commit to the kids. Only reason not to commit to the kids is b/c they’re trying to win now.

or trying to lose now, as is the case with the Knicks.

The lineups of Kanter, Tammy, Muddy, etc guarantee losses

Nah Greenie that aint the point. The point is "play the kids" because apparently it doesn't matter who has talent or doesn't just play the kids

The suns didn’t pick up benders option so he’s already out of the plan and will be off the team next year, if that applied to some of our guys it would be more understandable

So they won't even get an asset out of their 4th overall pick? They gonna take their L and just let him walk without even trying to get an asset for him?

Yo I'd love to see this board if we did that to one of our young players, let alone somebody we drafted with the 4th overall pick. Oh it would be classic

He's only 21 years old, where is the development?

That’s right - they’re trying to build a young core that supports their top young guys in Booker & Ayton. They start those guys.

We would have never done the Anderson deal. A prospect? No way. Thx for proving my point.

Posting that gif makes no sense. I have been about playing the kids for years and never veered away from that since.

Do you understand what that saying means?

We'll bring in Bender as a reclamation project, but he wont be known as one of the kids even though he'd be just 21.

In most situations, you aren't getting assets for a reclamation project. Imagine DEN was estatic to get anything for Mud last year.

Riiiiiight and we're not trying to build around Porzingis and Kevin Knox. Of course we made a Ryan Anderson type of trade, we traded Melo for Kanter, MCdermott and a 2nd round pick. McDermott got flipped for Mudiay (22 years old) and the 2nd round pick we got we used to draft Mitchell Robinson (20 years old). Even if Mudiay doesn't become a part of the core, at least we picked up Mitchell Robinson who could have been a 1st round pick himself. Kanter coming off the books will create cap space so we can add another piece to the core. But yeah ignore all that, we're not doing anything to build a young core, nothing whatsoever

Wow that's fantastic, how did that play out for them? Where did that get them today? He's got almost no trade value and they are willing to let him just walk

Excellent example of development and proper asset management. Those Suns sure are doing it right
